I had a tend, so I spent my night in the tend. I had to build my tend on stones, and it was not the best camp site I have seen so far ;) BUT: I also ate in the restaurant, and food was a big surprise: It was really tasty and worth visiting!

Had an awesome time at the campsite - stayed in the camping area in the woods at the back of the site which is away from the hustle and bustle of the rest of the complex. The site is 1km from some beautiful wild swimming spots (natural pools form all along the river), and there are great walks in the...

Pleasant and nice people, good atmosphere - we had a real good time! All points scored well and we can recommend the place to visitors. One week is nice and the kayak was perfect. Dali museum, go there early is great!

After paying 38 euros for one night stay in our camper van we were disgusted to be ejected from the bar at 10.30 ten minutes before the European football match was due to finish.I had had a glass of lovely wine at five pm in the bar but the glass they served me later on was half the amount and...

Dear Sir, First of all thank you very much for your opinion. This helps us a lot to continuously improve our service. I have to tell you that you were very unlucky and we are so sorry for that. After talking to the restaurant team I realised that the waiter that you mentioned in your post was fired the same...

If Cool Camping extended as far off the beaten track in Spain as it does in France, Bassegoda Park would definitely make the grade. Set in beautiful woodlands in the foothills of the Pyrenees, you can opt for a cabin, plots with hook-ups or a woodland pitch under the trees. We stayed for two weeks on one of the larger...

Surrounded by beautiful forest, mountains and creek. Various bike paths available, hikes, creek pools. The camping itself very well maintained, super nice helpful staff, great pool, great restaurant, activities for kids. We stayed at 5-people bungalow, really nice a cozy. Small but cute, equipped with all you need. One thing that was a bother - loud neighbors on one side...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Bassegoda Park is a first category camping and bungalow park located in Albanyà (Alt Empordà), next to the natural park Parc d'Espais d'Interès Natural de l'Alta Garrotxa, at just 7 km to the beautiful medieval town of Sant Llorenç de la Muga and only at 25 km from Figueres, the city of the famous painter Salvador Dalí. Its unique location, next to the River Muga, allows you to be in permanent contact with the nature and to practice many different activities such as adventure sports, fishing, hunting, hiking, horse riding, four-wheel drive, etc. Moreover we are the mountain bike information point of the area and one of the long way hikes GR-11 passes next to our campsite. This tremendous landscape full of peace, that represents one of the most virgin areas of the Empordà, will make your experience unique for both adults and children. ... more   less

“The camp site in the forest which can't be reserved is the nicest spot IMHO. You can get pretty much everything you need for picnicking and barbecuing, though meat options are limited so you may want to bring your own if you can.”
