Yew Tree Cottage is a unique B&B and Teanie, the owner, is without doubt the most personable and caring of all the owners we have come across in our travels. Her home is wonderfully comfortable and welcoming and the food is unsurpassed in quality and presentation, with many delightful home-made touches. A very pleasant, home from home, experience

This B & B is a real find. Country cottage with a pretty garden. Handy for Matlock, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall. My cousin and I stayed in a twin bed room, comfortable bed, good quality soft furnishings, tea tray with home made biscuits. Shower room with heater to keep the towels nice and warm, and a sitting room to relax...

This B&B is really worth a visit. Our room (The Rose Room) was wonderful. A great nights sleep in an extremely comfortable bed. The newly fiited bathroom is fantasic, just what you would want. This B&B goes the extra mile in ensuring a great stay. The breakfast is excellent with a great choice and the service in this B&B is...

We so enjoyed our two night stay in the Riber Wing. Teanie and Richard were helpful and entertaining hosts- their hospitality was first rate! A delightful breakfast served on china and silver was a great start to our busy days of sight-seeing and we enjoyed all of the homemade jams, Bakewell tart and cookies we were treated to throughout our...

Yew Tree Cottage is owned by Teanie and Richard Dornan, who are the most gracious and welcoming hosts you could wish to find. On arrival, we were given Teanie's home made Bakewell Pudding with a cup of tea in the lovely surroundings of their garden. The beds (tempur mattresses!) were so comfortable and all the little extras ( shortbread, tea/coffee...

Well, I have to say that in all my years of enjoying stays in bed and breakfast accommodation, this must rate in my top three (if not the top!). Teannie and Richard have managed to achieve just the right balance of looking after guests without becoming intrusive. The room we stayed in was lovely and we much appreciated the fact...

Teanie and Richard go out of their way to make you feel welcome in their lovely home. They cannot do enough for you, and they are constantly looking after the little things which set this b & b on a higher level than many others. Visitors need to be very careful when entering the property with their car as the...

My friend and I stayed at Yew Tree Cottage over the bank holiday weekend and had a fabulous time - it was so relaxing having adults to converse with as it was a child free zone! Both Tearnie and Richard are driven to deliver the very highest quality, whether it is in the furnishings and comfort of the rooms or...

Having clattered cross-country from Hardwick, we were welcomed with a pot of tea and homemade Bakewell tart in our own corner of the garden (sufficient corners for each set of guests). A table at a nearby pub was quickly reserved for us (do heed Teanie's advice re portion size - several families could have dined on our collective 3 courses)....
