Nice old hotel but the décor is a bit dated. Could so with a revamp. Enjoyed the bar food which was nice and good value. Friendly and helpful staff all round. Room was on the ground floor and a bit noisy from activity in the car park outside, Room was clean and double and single bed in the room. Breakfast...

Could not fault this hotel. Everything was excellent from food to service. I was with a party of 100+ for dinner and lunch. Every course was excellent and main was hot, this is unusual when large parties are involved. Staff were very friendly and adopted a very personal approach. Reception staff a little businesslike but polite. TV was old fashioned...

A return to Carlow for a weekend proved that the 7 Oaks has kept its standards over the years. It has an old fashioned feel but the rooms are well equipped, although some redecoration in places is due. Staff are friendly but check-in was busy when we arrived. Food was adequate but service was prompt. Breakfast was good although self...

Everyone at the hotel were so accommodating and the service was excellent. We enjoyed the pub and the bartenders were very friendly. It was comfortable in the rooms, except a little warm. I only wish the rooms had screens on the windows but we found that the hotel in Dublin also did not have screens. Not sure if that is...

My husband and I have been frequent visitors to the Seven Oaks over the last 6 years. We have noticed in all that time that the reception staff never acknowledge us in any way. They pass us when we are there having lunch or sometimes we drop in for tea and scones but never so much as a nod do...

My husband and myself were looking for a night away. Looking on the internet I found this hotel, with a great deal, summer Friday, dinner b/b for e98.00. So we said we would give it a try, the staff here are amazing, friendly, there to help you enjoy your stay. The first room we got, there was music coming from...

We stayed for 3 nights, the room was very comfortable and clean, the Staff in all areas of the hotel were very friendly and helpful. The food was excellent, we had an evening meal on our package and it was superb, and there was a huge choice for breakfast. We will definitely stay here again and we would highly recommend...

I feel bad giving this hotel only 3 stars as our experience there was so positive. We stayed for just one night, but the staff were exceptional, from the receptionist who checked us in to each staff member in the restaurant and bar. Paul, who is a supervisor in the restaurant would stand on his head to help you! The...

I stayed in this hotel with some friends. It was cheap and cheerful. No luxury but for the price we paid it was perfect. I'm usually so careful with my belongings but on this one occasion I somehow managed to leave two expensive makeup palettes behind me (they must have been hidden under the blankets). I phoned the hotel within...
