Stopped here as we were an hour early for the steam train across the road at Northiam. From the road it looked like it might just be a tea shop sort of thing but were pleasantly surprised to find a full menu and child menu. We had sandwiches which were generously portioned and very nice. My fairly picky 6 year...

Glad to hear you enjoyed your visit to us, and that your 6 year old enjoyed the bolognaise! We like to think that our food is good value for money for the quality of ingredients, and that we have a good variety for all of our customers. If you enjoyed the steam train, perhaps try our boat trip next year,...

Just returned from a short stay here, 2 adults and 2 children. The actual site is very nice, it's cleaned every day. and fire pits are great and you get a bag of marshmallows thrown in for the price (website states hire for the duration of your stay, staff on the phone stated price was per night - maybe staff...

You're absolutely right, we haven't looked after disabled campers. Whilst we do have good disabled facilities for our cafe customers, with the ramp from the car park, widened doors and disabled bathroom, I can now see this doesn't help those camping. Given our camp site is a field in the middle of a flood plain, meaning we can't lay paths...

Popped by this place on way back from family camping trip with friends. Found it by chance as we were looking for a breakfast cafe. This place is incredible. Staff so welcoming and friendly - food top notch. Was interested in the great facilities they have to offer - camping and boating so I will be returning 100%. Loved the...

Thank you so much for the amazing review. We agree that there is nothing better than breakfast in the garden on a sunny morning. We hope to see you again for camping or boating, although I don't know if we can help you with the garden!

Thank you for your great review, so pleased to hear you enjoyed your stay with us. We will definitely look into a camping freezer as we have had a few comments about this. We hope to see you again in 2017!

We spent one night for my daughters 12th birthday with 5 of her friends. It is the perfect campsite. Just the right size, clean amenities, the added bonus of the cafe, the availability of the boats and ferry etc. We walked along the river to Bodium and caught the ferry back. Everyone was friendly and helpful. I am telling everyone...

We had been introduced to this venue in 2014 having done the river cruise from Bodiam through to Newenden. Alex told us about the sunset cruise down to Rye that is run from the end of June each Saturday. Unfortunately we couldn't get a date in 2014, so booked early for June 2015. It was our first stay at the...

We love it when people come back to see us, especially when they've seen it prior to all our building work and improvements. Hope to see you in 2016 too!

Very disappointing we saved the best as we thought until last in our camping season. We wished we haven't bothered. On arrival the bins were overflowing three days later the bags were piled outside the bins it was unpleasant. The toilets and showers were cleaned regularly to be fair however bins were not emptied at the same time. Dogs were...

I am appalled and dismayed at your response. I absolutely didn't direct any comments at your daughter, who incidentally, we had no idea had any form of disability or special need and I am enraged that you think I would make any derogatory comments about anyone with any kind of disability. We welcome anyone and everyone here with open arms...

We have had the misfortune to visit during the most hideous week of weather in August! Stair rods day and night for 3 days - this turned the field and many of the paths into something resembling the Somme but that's no ones fault - just the British weathers! The owners were great - I asked for some stepping stones...

Thank you so much for your rave review; it really does make a difference. You poor things though, I don't think anyone thought it'd rain that much, but you proved you can't get the great British holidaymaker down with a bit of rain!! We're just waiting for the end of the season and then will be excavating the driveway to...

We were looking forward to a much needed, relaxing break away from work and Bodiam Boating Campsite was all it promised to be. A lovely site, informal and friendly, in a brilliant place with lots to do nearby. The walks along the river are great, cycling the lanes just fab and lots more. The café on site is perfect for...

Firstly the owners are really passionate about what they do and are really friendly. The campsite is great, a well organised and efficient operation, no issues with noise. During busy times I think there can be a bit of a wait for showers and toilets, but apart from that excellent. The cafe is also very nice, a pleasant space to...
