Firstly we booked a superior room - as per the picture on Agoda!!!! Don't believe it. We paid the superior room price but were given an inferior room in the old building. They may be nice in the new building but very mediocre in the original building.the room was clean but dated. Not worth the $30. The free (or included)...

We had 2 rooms booked here 2 weeks in advance.....2 days before hand they say oh you can only stay 1 night now because we have given your rooms away to a big company that want the whole floor. And then proceeded to tell us there is a place down the road they will transfer us to for the same...

I stayed here one night on the way from Vientiane to Vang Vieng. I don't think I would have wanted to stay longer unless I was going to spend some time boating on the reservoir. The original cottages are very picturesque, but not exactly up to date. I found a frog in my shower stall in the morning, but he...

This hotel is built into the hill and the only place to stay. There aren't alternatives. Positives - the view of the lake in the afternoon and morning, the infinity edge pool, the rooms with a view are spacious with comfortable beds and a verandah. Reasonable value for the rooms at US$70 for a good too with breakfast Negatives -...

The view from the reservoir side may possibly be one of the most stunning and beautiful in Laos - the stuff of travelling dreams. Worth the off the beat journey alone. Na Nam, the waterside village offers a range of very local eating places. There are an endless amount of boats to ferry you around the reservoir. We booked for...

Long Ngum View Resort is the easy option if you want to stay next to the reservoir. The resort offers a few options like lake view, mountain view, old building, new building, double bed, twin beds, and bungalows (which looked ideal for groups). Prices varied depending on what type of room you got. Following the advice on tripadvisor we avoided...

Our Laos partner hosted the regular program activity that we conduct every two years. This activity is such a huge pressure in terms of the preparations required for the activity and the multilingual participants who are forced to speak in a language that is foreign to all of us. The venue provided the lighter side of the work. Most of...

This place could get 2 more stars if the owner would keep the place up to international standard. The only positive comment I have is the place has a beautiful view of the Nam Ngum and close the boat launch area. The place is more like a budget hotel instead of resort. The day we were there, the swimming pool...

The Good: Lake view rooms have lovely balconies with gorgeous views of the lake. The hotel has beautiful landscaping. There is a wonderful infinity pool which was very refreshing on a hot day (and a children's pool too). They have a free full fresh cooked breakfast. They have air conditioning. The room is a good price. The Bad: I stayed...

Very basic with no wifi other than in reception area. Lovely views and building could be nice but is in serious need of some maintenance. Staff have virtually no English. Although this served our purposes of one night en route our cycle tour we would definitely not rush back.
