We booked cottage 1 only with a couple of weeks to go before new years eve and how lucky we were. With underfloor heating already set a little above 20 deg C the cottage was very welcoming indeed. Fully equipped with all the creature comforts and even bubbly and chocs thoughtfully provided by Jean for a great new years eve,...

We found this gem three years ago,. It is out in the country on a working sheep farm. This year we saw the very new born lambs. The cottages have everything you need from towels, tea towels, wc paper even down to the tablets for the dishwasher. We were on holiday and visiting family and friends. The peace and quiet...

I spend over 70% the year working away from home. Over the years I have stayed in all sorts of ‘interesting’ accommodation but Fielden Farm has proved to be on of the very best. An amazing setting with all amenities, comfortable, clean, cosy, warm, well equipped. quiet…. In short ‘wonderful. Jean and Norman have been kind and considerate and very...

Having to be in England in January was not ideal, however we had a funeral to attend and this location was close to family. Cottage 1 is one bedroom and a perfect size for us. Our daughter and granddaughter visited in comfort. Watching the farm workings was very relaxing, sheep being herded, tractors moving hay, etc.. The hosts are gracious...

We have just returned from a week's stay in this lovely cottage. We travelled from Spain to the area to visit our grandson. On arrival we was pleasantly surprised to find a festive cottage ready for Christmas. The attention to detail given to make guests feel welcome deserves a mention. The cottage was warm and clean with everything you could...

We hired both cottages over the December 2014-January 2015 period for 16 days, arriving from Australia to a sprinkling of snow on the 27/12. We liked the cottages, they were modern, clean and compact; and the views outside were delightful. Drawbacks included the unsealed road on initial approach to the cottages, which at times was difficult to navigate, particularly in...

I feel I need to respond to this review so that prospective guests get a fair picture. We own the part of the farm lane that is surfaced with tarmac, we would like to seal the rest of the lane up to the road but would require agreement from our neighbours to do this. The lane is not lit as...

Just returned from a weekend stay in cottage 1 and we didn't want to leave. Jean and Norman are friendly and welcoming. The cottage is beautiful and cosy and the views are breath taking. Far better than any hotel room! And the village of Littleborough is an absolute gem. We will most definitely return

Highly recommend these cottages. We stayed in cottage 2, which was very well equipped and spotless. The views are amazing and Littleborough was very charming. We didn't want to leave and could quite easily have moved in permanently.

I alternated my stays between both cottages (depending up availability) for a couple of months in the winter whilst working in the area and what a find! The cottages are certainly as beautiful as the pictures depict and it felt like home-from-home whilst I was working away. As it was winter, I had wondered if I would be cold staying...

We hired both cottages while visiting our children (travelling from Middle East), both cottages were well equipped and had everything you could possible want. Jean and Norman were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble, the Christmas trees and decorations were a nice touch as was the welcome gifts and Christmas card. They also gave you 100% privacy which...
