Dreams Calvià Mallorca offers a stay that delights as much as it divides opinions. Guests have called out the cleanliness and spaciousness of the rooms, and the hotel's prime location near the beach and local attractions is widely appreciated.
However, some travelers have experienced a lack of value, citing disappointing food quality and misleading package deals, alongside service that can swing from warm and professional to slow and neglectful. The atmosphere and amenities, while generally commended for their modernity and comfort, receive mixed reviews regarding evening entertainment and poolside convenience.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed for 5 nights in May 2024 as a family with 4- 2 adults and a 5 and 1 year old. The hotel was immaculate on arrival. We arrived at 1am and were quickly checked in we got to our room to find we didn’t have a travel cot for our 1 year old and despite the night security guard speaking very little English he went out of his way to help us and get us a travel cot to get our little ones asleep as soon as possible. Housekeeping came every day with fresh towels and the room was always spotless. The food was amazing we didn’t have a single poor meal- we ate at the pool bar and market cafe. Lots of choice, different themes each day always hot/ fresh. My children loved the food. There are different restaurants to choose from with limited menus which we didn’t eat at but we did have the smoothies which were delicious and fresh. The location was brilliant, across the road and down some steps to magaluff beach, the hotel was quiet, we couldn’t hear any of the partying or hustle and bustle from the hotel. We would 100% recommend and would love to come back but pricing up next year it looks very expensive but may be a little too early to look!

We were dubious after booking upon reading some negative reviews, however held hope with the great reviews and can hand on heart say this was a wonderful holiday.
Reflecting on the negative comments I don’t understand the opinions of them. Food choice was excellent for each meal time and did differ each day slightly, the staff were attentive (we were all inclusive) upon mealtimes and the poolside bars were fantastic during the daytimes. You do have to go out quite early to reserve a bed in the sun, but there are plenty of comfortable seating areas and deck chair options while you’re waiting for a bed to become free.
We went for the deluxe double room and was not disappointed. The bed was unbelievably comfortable and room service were excellent at cleaning and providing a fresh bottle of water and clean towels every day. At quite a close location to bustling Magaluf and the lively strip you can’t hear any rowdiness and we slept perfectly every night.
We will absolutely be returning - thank you Dreams Calvià!

Travelled for a week with my husband and our parents. 3 rooms in Adult only Preferred club. The rooms were very clean and spacious our requests were accommodated . No robes or slippers in 2 of the rooms had to request twice before they were issued. Raul who checked us in was really friendly and helpful. The preferred club pool was disappointing. That area only had 7 sun beds and 4 four poster beds . The adult only section accommodated 46 guests that was without the preferred guests in main hotel that had access to this pool . 7 sun beds and 4 four poster beds was just not enough . We was told they were arriving but for me they should be there at the start of the season as that’s what is advertised when booking . I spoke with Laura the guest relation officer about the lack of sun beds her tone was very rude and I was told by her that there was 3 other pools to use. The other 3 pools had plenty of sun beds but no parasols which was as issue as we needed shade for our elderly parents . We arrived Saturday by Tuesday 2 out of the 3 pools finally did have parasols . My feeling is we paid to go into the adult only section and there should have been sufficient beds and parasols to cater for the guests that had access to that area. When I have paid extra for the privilege to use an adult only space I should be able to do so .
The food was just ok sometimes Luke warm . The staff on the whole were friendly. We have stayed in many dreams resorts before in preferred club and I have to say we was very disappointed this time . The preferred lounges usually offer guests spirits wine and fizz as well as beer and are usually open until 11pm . The one here however only offered soft drinks beer and cava and closed at 1800. The preferred pool lounge was supposed to open at 10am but some days it was much later and one day I had to ring reception at 1130am to ask it to be filled with water and beer as it had not been restocked from day before. This might sound picky but I think if you pay for something it should be available . Unlimited luxury I think not . Preferred club not worth the money in this case . Will we return I don’t think so . Very disappointed with the experience we had .

We had a great time and were overall happy with the hotel but there was quite a few niggles.
We did book this because it was part of the dreams brand, we usually like to stay at nice hotels. This is nice by Magaluf standard but don't expect it to be like a dreams hotel you would find elsewhere in the world.
There were 3 pools and if you didn't get a bed before 9am they were taken by the towels until 4ish, we usually ended up with a table by the pool which was OK but I would of liked to have a sunbath.
The pool was a nice temperature, we stayed in the quieter family pool more as it was near our room, we were allowed small inflatables in this one.
The drinks were pretty good, we wernt happy that when we booked the hotel premium drinks were included in our package but they changed this to an extra charge just before we arrived and were we told its at their discretion. My husband likes more premium drinks so this was pretty annoying.
The a la carte meals were nice, we really liked the pasta station but strangely 2 out of the 3 times we ate at the a la carte restaurants they only brought 2 of our meals and looked baffled when we asked about the missing meal, there was 3 of us and I ordered 3 meals with no apparent confusion so we did end up eating separately but it was tasty.
We didn't love the buffet, there wasn't much my son would eat and we all struggled to make up a meal we enjoyed, we lived off pizza slices and bits of bread for most of it.
There was a station cooking steaks (not great ones) and chicken but he would only cook one thing at a time when you got to the front of the queue so there's no way I was waiting for the 6 people in front of me to have chicken breasts cooked individually, absolutely baffling when he had a big cooking skillet.
Our room was nice, beds really comfy, nice bathroom, we managed to get our firestick to work on the tele and had a fridge and safe.
Cleaning wasn't the best, we had crumbs all over our carpet for the whole stay and no one would take the cups and glasses that we had on the the table on the balcony, maybe I'm being a princess but I dont expect to have to take them back down to the bars. It felt like we got into a bit of a stand off but by the end there was about 20 glasses on the balcony...I think I won because they were still there when I left!
The cleaner would also turn our air con off when we were out. One day she took the key we had left in the socket think out, one day she turned it off at the wall, one day she left the balcony door open a little and one day she left thr balcony doors wide open, I didn't appreciate this when only on the second floor, maybe she was getting me back for the glasses.....
Overall better than a lot of hotel in Magaluf but nowhere near amazing but we would return because there isn't a lot of choice of really nice hotels in Magaluf.

Just returned from a week at Calvià Dreams. Definitely pros and cons but I’ll start with pros:
Good location, easy to walk to the beach plenty of nice bars on the walk to Palma Nova, yes there is the seedy side in Magaluf but there is enough choice for everyone. Easy to get a bus into La Palma, takes about 35 minutes (104/105 from Nicky Beach) about 2 euro each way. Definitely recommend that head to the old cathedral, great old buildings and shopping.
The drinks package at the Calvià is excellent all premium brands and there is certainly no watering down, the house wines were good and Sangria superb. The bar areas are all good for the time of day you want.
We saw some good singing acts at the hotel, so rated the entertainment.
Food was good enjoyed the lunch but definitely noticed premium products such as prawns, mussels and even steaks not very plentiful. Evening buffet was ok and to be fair you have the street food which was good, disappointed the tapas only ran for one night, and the Asian was fully booked.
The bad: I think what lets Calvià dreams down is the hope everyone will upgrade to premium, for a family of 3 that would have been an additional €420. It seems to me very unfair to have areas closed for premium when there are not enough pool space for everyone. Sunned wars were ridiculous with people getting up at 6:50 all gone by 7;30, which doesn’t give a relaxing experience. You will witness irate guest at reception completely frustrated by this. I complained to reception as there were beds with towels on for hours with no intervention, yet the hotel policy is they will remove after 15 minutes (which is too short) but they don’t control any of it, but direct you into conflict with other guest by asking you to remove it. All they wanted to offer was an upgrade as a solution. When you have already paid £2100 for a holiday I don’t expect to pay another £400 to get what I expect as standard. It’s a bit like hiring a car and then been charged extra for wheels!
All in all nice hotel, but the management needs to be better and stop this practice in the hope people will pay more!

This hotel is amazing, the staff are friendly, helpful and speak multiple languages.
The interior is fancy with marble floors, lovely velvet sofas in the right areas to rest, you feel like you are trulely allowed to relax around the hotel without being judged.
It’s a few minutes from the beautiful beach and has a lovely pool and pool bar. The preferred club area allowed us to have free snacks and drinks throughout the day even though we were bed and breakfast and always had a worker ready to advice!
the room was lovely and the maids kept topping up the water, cleaning bed sheets and the floor, while stocking the mini fridge
Overall it was a perfect lovely hotel… the only one improvement i can make is to speed up the reception service a little as you could wait 15 minutes just to speak to someone, and sometimes other guests pushed in.
Otherwise, thank you for much for having us, we will stay with you next time we come to majorca.
Thank you :)

Wonderful hotel with amazing staff. They could never do enough for you and we're so friendly and kind. The room we had was always spotless and comfortable and so quiet at night it was lovely.
The food was a great variety, changing daily and always in plentiful amounts.
The location was brilliant, just a short walk down to the beach - literally about 5 minutes and plenty of activities in the day and evening to keep all hotel customers busy.
Definitely recommend for a get away for all, couples, families and friends alike.

Beautiful hotel, very clean and perfect location. Only a five minute walk to the bars and restaurants, but in a lovely quiet location with access to the beach right across the road. Breakfast was fantastic with plenty of choice - there was everything you could think of, including, bizarrely, sweets!! There are four pools but one is only accessible to the "preferred club" guests. We weren't bothered because to be honest they were quite secluded and felt a bit segregated. The three pools you can access are lovely, with one having day beds as well. The rooms are spacious and they have shampoo, conditioner & shower gel provided, with the shower being a rainfall type. There is a lovely bar/lounge area where were were able to watch the football.
On the downside, there was no coffee in the room and the cleaning staff couldn't provide any, nor did they top up the milk. We also had to check out at noon when we hadn't checked in until the early hours of the previous Sunday, and we were unable to keep the room on. We would have liked to have been offered another room to use as we had to hang about until 9pm.

I wish I could rate more than 10 for all the questions. This hotel was a piece of heaven indeed. I can't wait to come back and stay for a week or longer. All the services were more better than my expectations, food amazing, pool clean, bedroom spacious and clean, staff friendly and helpful. Me and my daughter really enjoyed ourselves. The all inclusive is DEFINITELY worth it and the food was amazing, there was a huge variety and a selection of serving times of when you could get food. Unlimited snacks and drinks and the quality was fabulous. Right next to a gorgeous beach and many nice shops so its a great location. Gorgeous places to sit and take photos as well. Even if you check out your room, you can still use all facilities with there being a place to put your luggage until you leave for your flight. I'll 100% recommend this resort to others.

Horrible hotel. Misleading advertising! The ads and photos don't indicate that this is a compound of three different hotels, put under one ownership, and that you might get a room far away from the main building and from the beach. They said they met my special requests for a sunny room with no mildew smell, but the room never saw the light of day or any sunlight as it faced north so it was musty. There was thick dust all around the sides of the floor, so the cleaners only cleaned the centre of the floor and not around any furniture or the edges of the floor. All door knobs were extremely sticky and dirty, as was the remote control. The little chair/sofa was hard as a rock and so deep that even with three pillows I couldn't sit comfortably on it. I paid more for a balcony upgrade but got an odd wooden raised up patio on the main level instead. It was not a balcony. I informed them at the desk that I was physically handicapped but they still put me in a far away building which was a long walk, and then I had to take an elevator down, another walk to another elevator to take me back up, and then a long walk down a long dark hallway. Nothing in their description of the room did it say it was in a different building that used to be an entirely different hotel. I was very very far from the beach so saying it is 100 metres from the beach is an outright lie. Even the main building is an odd walk across a busy street and then down treacherous steps and then you arrive at a "beach" but not where you can swim or lie down, so you have to walk around the beach to get to the decent part where you can swim. So no way should they say the beach is 100 meters away. And the hotel was in such an odd location, you couldn't easily get to the Main Street or shopping area, unless you walked out of your way, down and around and back up and incline, as you couldn't go straight through to the street. Your other option was to walk all the way to the beach and along the beach and then try to find an opening to get out to the street. Either way it was a long way and very inconvenient. I had to drag my luggage around these streets to get to a bus stop. They totally ruined my trip and wouldn't change my room so I wasn't struggling to walk back and forth all the time. The breakfast items were not quality items - the bacon was half cooked floating in a deep pool of grease and the buns and bakery items were not up to a good standard. I wanted to stay in the area but was so unhappy with the hotel, I moved to the east coast of the island and the hotels were lovely and cheaper there and the staff more helpful, and the hotels were closer to the beach and in a nicer area.
