We loved staying there. The room was beautiful and comfortable. Every room is decorated in a different style, the one more beautiful than the other. The room was clean and neat with everything needed for an overnight stay. Thank you for a lovely experience.

This guesthouse is a charming gem in the midst of a sea of somewhat ruffian hotels. I travel between Namibia and Cape Town regularly and i make sure i stay here each and every time I travel. Owner Elizna has gathered quirky antiques over the years and assembled them into four very pretty rooms to make up a fully serviced...

This accommodation is way better than all of us (11pax) expected from Garies! Definitely the best place to stay in the vicinity of 200km! Every room is super well equipped with all you need (and more)! Crispy linen, hot showers, stunning friendly hospitality! We asked if we can have a braai...the hostess bought ALL we need, packed neatly in the...

Unfortunately I clicked on the thumbs-up icon at your review by accident and cant retrieve it. However, it was more my intention to reply to you directly. As a regular guest at Sophia Guest House, I would NOT insist on parking my bicycle in Elizna's beautiful and CLEAN establishment. I take a dim view. Good for you Elizna, thinking of...

Visited Garies to view the annual natural veld flower display. Stayed the weekend at Sophia's Guesthouse. This is a little gem. The rooms are relaxing and sprite. The decor blends in well with the Namaqua character. The owners and staff are friendly and offer enjoyable home made meals.

We're on an organized tour and sleeping over at Sophia's Guest House for 2 nights! We are sleeping in "Vinkel", obviously next to "Koljander"! Our room is beautiful with everything we need. There is no cupboard, but it's not a problem as we're not staying long. All the rooms are different though, so some will have cupboards! The food was...

Everything you could want under one roof with comfortable beds and quality linen. The bathrooms are clean and towels fluffy. Decor is funky, quirky with some exceptional art, antiques and fabrics in between. The food is real, tasty and generous. Make the effort to stay here if you are heading that way.

It feels like the middle of nowhere and suddenly you are in the fun, bright, comfortable Soohia Guest House! Beautifully decorated rooms and an olde worlds atmosphere made this stay really special. No dinner available, but a huge breakfast to see you on your way the next day.

Slept there in 2013 for a night (Unfortunately TripAdvisor can't allow me to go that far back with dates) and don't regret anything! A really amazing place for peace lovers, because the town Garies has such an amazing climate, unbeatable silence and this hidden gem to top it all up. If you're a peace lover, don't think twice about lodging...

We did not expect such a lovely place in the middle of nowhere, and it deserves all the praise it gets. The host is a friendly, chatty lady who is more than welcoming. We booked at the last minute when we were 2 hours away and wary from driving, so we asked for a double room. It was sweltering hot,...
