Booked a last minute one nighter and wasn't expecting much as it was only £70 for a superior room, how wrong was I.

Stayed two nights at Cockhaven Arms. Staff very friendly and welcoming. Food excellent and a good varied menu. Room very clean and pleasant view from window even though we had to wait for the fog and mist to disappear.

My family and I stayed last August and were not at all impressed. The 'team' at that time were not particularly welcoming but I don't know if they've changed since then. Our main complaint was that the owners' cat was walking over the breakfast tables while people were seated and waiting for their food, which we reported. The cat was ejected but the tables were not re-laid, which made us wonder about the general standards of hygiene.
