How lovely after 18 months of not being able to visit to be able to go to our local again. What a nice welcome and a lovely refurb, just goes to show what a difference a new manager, well done Nathan and team

Spent two nights here last weekend and it was a great experience from the moment we arrived until, sadly, we had to say goodbye! The staff are incredibly friendly and kind. The food (both the evening meal and the breakfast) delicious and perfectly presented and the rooms are all beautifully designed, tastefully decorated and immaculate. The beds were so comfortable...

I found the Cockhaven Arms on a hotel booking site as I needed to stay one night for business. It's in a quiet area near Newton Abbot. The room I stayed in was excellent. It wasn't large but very well decorated and the bed was very comfortable with excellent pressure in the shower The food and service was excellent and...

Visited on Friday 7th for mums birthday. The place is great, log fire burning although we sat in the conservatory which was nice and warm also. The food, wine and service was first class (as always). We felt a bit bad as dad was recovering from pneumonia and it was his first trip out and he left a lot of...

We lunched with friends a few weeks ago at this Hotel/pub. It was nice to see they have spent money on a refurb and it is certainly much improved. Sadly and confusingly though it still is not a place we would return to. There is just no atmosphere. Also absolutely no cooking smells, none at all, which could indicate the...

Spent a few nights here in August with my other half and our little dog. I have never stayed in a dog friendly hotel and was a little unsure of what to expect. You really couldn't tell (other than seeing a few dogs in bar) it was dog friendly. The rooms were clean and fresh. The hotel is lovely and...

Stayed here for a couple of nights for a wedding. The village is lovely and the pub has great views across the river valley. It was easy to find. Checked in quickly and easily (although the gentleman who checked us in was a little gruff - not personal, I think it was just his manner). Room was nice and light,...
