Stayed in a downstairs unit. Nice fire place and bed was comfortable. Bathroom and kitchen nook functional but dated. Walls and Ceilings are not too sound proof. You can hear every step, voice, and toilet flush from upstairs. Do not recommend staying here unless you get an individual unit. For the price, would stay elsewhere. There is no beachfront, the... The rooms were situated rather strangely. When you walked in, into what used to be a mud room or an area to keep skis, there was a twin bed with probably 2 inches on either side. The living, dining, and kitchen spaces were fine. The bathroom was small and dark, especially inside the shower. The other bedrooms had huge beds,... More

We had a great mini vacation! We were looking for a pet friendly location and glad we found this place. The nominal pet fee is half of what others wanted to charge. The staff was very friendly and we were able to check in early. We stayed in a studio cabin which had a fireplace and kitchen. It was very... More

This was my second time staying at the frontier cabins. This time it was with my siblings for a little family reunion and get away retreat. Needless to say we had so much fun! We arrived mid- week and it was really quiet and peaceful. The staff was really accommodating as we wanted to upgrade to a bigger cabin. We... More

We wanted to get away for the night to Big Bear Lake, and somewhat last minute. Of the top 10 rated places to stay on Trip Advisor, this place was one of the few with a vacancy. The price was steep-$245 including fees--but we figured for one night we would splurge. The place is within walking distance of the Village,... More

My husband and I checked into a one bedroom cabin with whirlpool, but were unable to stay for more than a handful of hours before having to leave to deal with a medical emergency. However, in those several hours (that cost us $250) we got a feel for the cabin. First off, our cabin was located on the corner of... More

We had a pleasant stay in a jacuzzi suite with our two dogs (I believe the dogs were an extra $10 each per night). All staff were friendly and helpful. The room was small (maybe 300 sqft) with a good jacuzzi, fireplace, nice bedding and quirky rustic touches. Every room on the property is within a five-minute walk of the... More

If you can cask for room 119 it's the bottom floor and it has a teeny balcony that looks out at the lake. It's the only room that had one from what I saw. The place is small and cute with a 10 minute walk to main street, which is perfectly fine.
