Had a wonderful time at Ohau Snow Fields. Everyone was very friendly and our first time lesson was a small group, which was great. Instructor was really good. Very family friendly, with great beginners slopes. Would highly recommend. Beautiful scenery. Would definitely come back

Hi there and thank you for your review of our mountain and our gorgeous staff. It's been another fantastic team both at Ohau Snow Fields and the Lodge this 2016 winter. We look forward to your return and hope you can stay in the Lodge as we offer a discounted lift pass to house guests and the convenience and pleasure...

Great location. We took the Dinner, Breakfast and accommodation option. The room was lovely and warm, stunning position, as we had room 80 "the best in the house" as we were told at reception. With the exception of fantastic coffee, the room has very little extras or small touches. No TV. No Clock radio. No Iron or board. No Free...

Thank you, it is always good to receive guest comments as there are always things to be improved on and our Head Housekeeper has now removed the light markings on the bathroom ceiling. Room 80 is the best in the house because it has the best view and at the end where there is no one on one side. The...

This was our second visit to Ohau lodge and with a much larger group we were not disappointed. With accommodation to suit all budget types, rooms are clean, comfortable and warm for those winter months. We enjoyed a 3 course meal every night, with any special dietary requirements catered for. Also a full breakfast was provided in the mornings. Staff...

First timer. The lodge was beautifully placed to the side of Lake Ohau, stand alone and away from the village of maybe 20people :) 8 of us girls stayed in the Huxley Wing which was like brand new! Everyone joins in the main house for a 3 course meal served by super friendly staff from all over the world! (staff were...

Thank you for writing. Having 4 different standards of accommodation to suit all budgets is i think one of our stand out points and you still get to enjoy extremely good food and served by gorgeous, friendly staff. You may not get the views of the lake from the Huxley wing but sitting in the spa pools, that is one...

We've skied at Ohau a few times and it's time for a review. If you are fed up with large ski fields and their prices/queues/distance/crowds etc etc, then Ohau is for you. It's a lovely small field that was once a club field and now we can all enjoy it! If you stay by Lake Ohau, it's only 20 mins...

Thank you for writing all your lovely comments - you need to come and stay! You have only experienced half of Ohau! You can have dinner, bed and breakfast for $111 in our outside Huxley wing. Is that expensive when it includes what you have described as a "gourmet" 3 course meal, (you are certainly right there) comfortable accommodation and...

We stayed one night for the next day snowboarding. They have a discounted all day chairlift for lodge guest too. The location is great and stunning view of lake Ohau. The room is expensive for its facilities but nice and tidy. Just the shower pressure water is quite weak, needed to fix! (Room25) My room is far away from the...

Thank you for taking the time to write your review and for the recommendation. Glad you enjoyed the location, the ping pong, the spas and the amazing view of the stars from there, the breakfast and the communal dining. We find that almost always guests enjoy being seated with others. We will check on that water pressure in your room...

Just got back from a 2 week trip to NZ and spent the vast majority of it at the Lake Ohau Lodge. Louise and the staff were wonderful - they helped our shy 9/10 year-old daughter meet and become friends with many of the other children staying there. If you are looking for a place to "get away from it...

We were so impressed with Lake Ohau Lodge. The room was clean and tidy, staff were friendly, the kitchen was very accommodating with food intolerances and the food itself was delicious! Thank you for staying with us and thank you for your review! 3 boys IPA and Scotts Golden Ale are the favourites and we reckon we have one of the best views of any bar anywhere to be sampling them. I'm so glad it was a special holiday for you.
