This hotel was close to everything we needed while we were in Toto. As part of a group of 24 who stayed it was big enough and the kids along with us were happy they could get hamburgers at night. There is really nothing lavish about the hotel but it is not spartan but utilitarian. The hotel uses "widow maker"...

I spent four days in Totonicapán in April, 2013 while on a tour of the area. This small city is the economic centre for the surrounding area. The hotel is in the down town area, right next to the main markets. In fact, on the day we left, stalls were being set up right in front of the hotel. This...

This is a business hotel and most likely the best in this city. The rooms are clean and the linens and towels changed daily. The desk clerks speak some English, but best to have some knowledge of Spanish for accurate communication. The highlight of the hotel is their restaurant and specifically the breakfast. On most days there were eggs, papaya,...

“Some of the rooms do not have very large windows. If they give you one, you can easily change it.”

“The low point was the availability of hot water for a morning shower. It seems to me that most people were showering at the same time and the hotel's hot water capacity was strained and insufficient, therefore, better to shower at night. The feral dogs wander the city at night and for light sleepers that might cause a distraction from a light sleeper's sleep. Not an issue for me. There are three computers in their small business center.”
