I’ll start at the beginning of the Maldives leg of the journey. Arrival at the sea plane was very well organised, access to the lounge was available and a welcome little haven from the humidity. The sea plane journey is magical. If you’re considering doing it. JUST BOOK IT. We arrived at the hotel to be greeted by waiting staff, our host Charan and a lovely refreshing tea. We were given a tour of the island on one of the buggies (which came in handy for us as we were right at the end of the pier - which is quite some distance in the heat however if you’re one of the rooms Towards the main section you shouldn’t really require one). Then shown to our room, where they had decorated it for our honeymoon and drawn a beautiful bubble bath decorated with flowers.
We had a sea bungalow - room 506. The room is much bigger than it appears online, housekeeping made it look and smell beautiful every day. Bathing looking out to the sea is glorious - there is also a lovely shower. The bed is very large and comfortable enough depending on your taste ie it’s medium firm. The outside area is STUNNING with an infinity pool straight out to the sea - it was lovely to come back to after some time at the beach in the morning.
The beaches are beautiful, never crowded, plenty of lounge chairs, bars and pool towels there are usually plenty of fish around to admire and swim/snorkel with.
There are 2 pool to play in also.
The bars are open daily from 10/11 with a good range of drinks. Cans of pop are 6USD mocktails around 16USD and wine around 18 USD We were there 8 nights and did find the meals a little repetitive towards the end.
Eats and beats offers the most variation and was our preferred place for that reason. Meals range from 30USD up - we usually shared a lunch as it’s too warm to eat too much. Alifant grill always provided beautiful food and a waiter there called Yaseen was brilliant, he really brightened our days, remembered details about us and provided a really outstanding service. As did the chef Prasad, he really did go the extra mile at every opportunity. I would really appreciate if they could get recognition for their wonderful Impact on our stay. Meals range around 50USD a little higher and lower are available. I love a buffet and we did take his option once, but not being big eaters it didn’t seem worth the 95USD price tag for us.
The island, is just that, and island, it is somewhat lacking in activities and options. So if you’re into being busy this probably isn’t the place for you, however if you enjoy your relaxation this is a winner.
We enjoyed the dolphin boat trip approx 300USD for 2 And a trip to the spa (highly recommend it’s gorgeous and the girls were lovely), they have a range of treatments to choose from.
The location is stunning, the staff are, in general warm friendly and accommodating.

We spent our honeymoon at Radisson Blu Maldives and had an amazing time! Totally worth it! We booked 8 nights at the sunrise water villa with pool and full board as the meal plan.
Villa The villa was very spacious and relaxing, decorated with some honeymoon surprises. We used the pool a lot and went swimming/snorkeling right from there, where we saw some fish. The bed was super comfortable and we’re usually very picky to say so.
Food The food was amazing at Eats and Beats, Crusoes and Raha. With full board we had a breakfast buffet and for lunch/dinner a three course meal a la carte. Water was included during the meals and at the villa we had water, tea and coffee available all the time. Cocktails are expensive though. So if you like to drink 3 or more cocktails and/or a lot of soft drinks it might be worth booking all inclusive. But Eats and Beats has happy hour (2 for 1) every day from 17:00-18:00 (during sunset time) which we used to get the drinks a little cheaper.
Activities We did the sunset fishing and whale shark tour. My husband also did some dives. Everything was great and a lot of fun. We were even lucky enough to see a whale shark (otherwise it would have been very expensive for a ordinary snorkeling tour). Overall the activities are on the more expensive side but you can rent free snorkeling gear, kayaks and paddle boards.
Service Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Our host Ziyazan was here for us when we needed help or had a question. Also you can call buggys to bring your around the hotel if you don’t want to walk. Also our flight landed at 05:00 in Malé but we were able to spend our time until 08:30 in the lounge where we had food and drinks available and comfortable couches.
We had a fantastic honeymoon! Thank you Radisson Blu Maldives❤️

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
My current trip was on a honeymoon with my husband. It took two days from choosing the island to deciding to visit Radisson Island, mainly because Radisson's water house is compassionate. I think it's very romantic, and this hotel was opened in 2021. The equipment and houses are relatively new, and the rooms are very large. We chose to fly to the island. As soon as we got to the island, there was a warm welcome ceremony from the staff, and we were assigned our own butler when we entered the hotel reception hall. My butler Avaz was a very passionate person. He initially used a car to guide us to the island customer service center; the location, opening hours, and restaurant style of the different restaurants; spa rooms, gyms, yoga rooms, and mahjong rooms; there is also a service center for water programs and various activities; not only is it a very comprehensive introduction, but it also slows down to check if you can understand his meaning. Every day that followed, he warmly greeted us and picked us up for breakfast. If you contact him on WeChat, he can respond and resolve them as soon as possible; he also carefully explained the items, food charges, and all-inclusive issues to avoid us incurring unnecessary expenses. This is really careful. There was torrential rain on the island the day before we left. He also rushed to the restaurant to take us back to our room and give us blankets to keep us from getting wet, but he didn't care when his whole body was soaked. Any information about scheduled programs, free movies, etc. will also be notified to us as soon as possible. The truth is that there are no details, and there is concern everywhere. The staff here are all really friendly. They greet you when you meet them, they also care about whether we need help during the meal, and when we leave the restaurant, they ask if we need a car to take us back to our room. When we go out to sea to hunt for dolphins, the staff will also chat with us and guide us to the best viewing areas. I set an all-inclusive price before I arrived on the island, so food and drinks are free, which is really necessary. Finally, the scenery on the island is really beautiful! The room was really big! Highly recommended!

One of the best trips I've had. Amazing marine life and resort.
The best parts 1. Staff: incredibly friendly and warm, truly made it difficult to leave. They go above and beyond and treat you so well. Vineeth, Prahsad, Sobhan really made every dinning experience memorable and truly enjoyable. They would find you dishes and meals that you like and bring all your favourites and tell you more about the island and Maldives. As well as Ratheesh, Das and Melvin They really went beyond any expectations and out of their way for us. They are always smiling and friendly and really assist you with any issues even when extremely busy. They come everyday to great you and treat you like family. These people made the experience from just another resort to something else and something I would come back to again.
2. Marine life: incredible diversity of fish and sea life. There are plenty of areas to snorkel and and many varieties of fish and many reef sharks. We managed to even spot a turtle right on the reef with the assistance of a lifeguard. Additionally snorkeling equipment is available to all rooms
3. Food: large buffet at Raha with many options and cuisine from all over ( indian, asian, continental, grill etc). Eats and beats were also exceptional with the barramundi being our favourite. We took the classic all inclusive and honestly you'll have more food than you know what to do with. In this option there's also many alcohol options available, but selected cocktails are an additional charge, however you have full access to 3 of 5 restaurants, with the other two being chargeable.
4. Rooms are large and spacious with all amenities included, with daily housekeeping and replacement of every item, we stayed in an overwater villa and pool with view isn amazing.
Minor issues 1. Internet can be spotty particularly when you're on the far side of the beach, but to be honest this wasn't really an issue for us because we wanted this holiday to be an escape.
2. Very scanty lighting on the beach if any, so if you watched sunset and left after in the dark it's a bit difficult to see, particularly on the side away from eats and beats, would have been nice if there were fairly lights on some of the palm trees
3. Would have enjoyed one or two hanging chairs or hammocks over water
Overall the people and the sea life made it for me and would definitely bring me back

When I was a kid, I loved "My Lucky Star". So when I got married, I chose Maldives as my honeymoon destination without hesitation! !
About choosing an island: Yes, choosing an island means choosing a hotel. Because it was a honeymoon, I chose Radisson Blu on Xinxing Island without hesitation.
Radisson Blu has a big discount, and the room is also very large, with a private swimming pool and net bed, and the sea view bathtub is very photogenic. I was given a floating breakfast and a sunset dolphin tour, and I also upgraded the room type for free! The price-performance ratio is really high!
Must-try projects: 🌸 Snorkeling🤿 (be sure to wrap your whole body before going into the sea, don't ask me why, wearing a swimsuit, arms, back and legs are all sunburned) 🌸 Dolphin cruise, if you see dolphins, you are really super lucky
About dressing: Maldives is very hot, and it is very sunny and easy to get sunburned. It is recommended to bring sunscreen clothes and beach skirts for sisters who take photos, and apply more sunscreen! ! !
In general, we didn't worry too much about the overall itinerary. The hotel service facilities are very good. It is a hotel with relatively high price-performance ratio in Maldives. There are also many Chinese people
By the way, our housekeeper is called Nicole! She is a very enthusiastic lady, and the hotel staff are very enthusiastic

The Radisson Hotel is a heart-shaped hotel in the Maldives. Each room is more than 200 square meters. There is a large swimming pool on the balcony that you can swim in, and there is also a net bed. When you see the sea view outside the room, you will feel super good. The scenery of the lagoon is very beautiful. The water is clear and transparent and has a beautiful jelly color. From the water house, you can go snorkeling directly into the sea for about 120 rooms. There are a lot of corals and many beautiful schools of small fish and large schools of fish. We also saw manta and lions. fish. I want to explore the ocean every day. Our butler AVAZ is very serious and responsible, and he helped us solve all the problems we encountered perfectly. There is also a Chinese chef in the Radisson restaurant who cooks delicious food. In short, it was a great trip

We didn’t have our honeymoon 5 years ago and we planned over years to visit the most beautiful place to celebrate this milestone and we searched and found Zublu diving, spoke to Adam and later Vici who helped us look for a dream place for our anniversary and we loved and ended choosing Radisson Blu Maldives
It was a seamless and hustle free process, Zublu were professional in the process and advises, planning things to do at our destination of choice, helped in receiving us at Male airport to make sure we arrive safely and hustle free, We are very happy with their services, not forgetting that they also saved us money.
On our arrival at Male, not only Zublu had someone receiving us but Radisson Blu also had officials to assist us checking out and taking us to the seaplane airport where we waited at seaplanes lounge, which was neat, which served us well whilst waiting to fly us to Radisson Blu.
At arrival at Radisson Blu we were welcomed by their welcoming team and introduced to Hassan from Egypt our host who was very friendly and helpful, who helped with our check-in process and took some time to show us the island before taking us to our overwater villa with a pool,
We need to put this here that the entire team at the welcoming lounge was friendly and professional
The villa was as it was advertised on Radisson Blu website, actually picture don’t make justice you need to be there to see and experience the beauty and and cleanliness,
We went to the main restaurant for our dinner, Raha The staff was friendly and the food was the best, we met Das another friendly guy who was taking care of us at the bar every night, we also had a memorable dinner on our anniversary with the help of Zublu and our host Hassan, we met the Chef from Sri Lanka who hit our dinner out of the ball park, the best meal at Eats and Bits restaurant
The staff at Radisson Blu were professional and friendly, from the bakie drivers, chefs actually everyone was helpful friendly and welcoming, not to forget our photographers who took some amazing pictures, oh our dolphins cruise was spectacular
We had the most beautiful time.
Thank you to Zublu Diving, Radisson Blu and Fly Emirates

We visited Maldives to celebrate our 20th anniversary this year. We picked Radisson for our stay. The resort was absolutely pristine with one of the largest over water villas we’ve stayed in (we have visited Maldives 4 times before and this was one of the most spacious villas we’ve stayed in!). It has an oversized pool as well. Our sunrise over water villa was well done up to receive us with a cake and wine! We had the most brilliant ocean views with most privacy. We caught beautiful glimpses of dolphins right from our deck. We had a wonderful time Snorkelling around the house reef which had one of the best marine life we’ve seen so far.
The icing on the cake was the special efforts taken by the restaurant manager Mr.Vineet assisted by Mr.Sobhan. Being vegetarians our diet requirements were taken down meticulously for every meal followed to the T. They went over and beyond to ensure we had a thoroughly good time during our 4 night magical stay on this island
The pricing was worth every penny while the only downside would it be that it is a 45 min seaplane ride away from Malé. however that is fully compensated once you get here. Fully recommend it.

Stunning place, Great location, White beaches, Staff very polite and care to any needs/requests you have. Water villa was stunning and cleaned to a high standard daily. Pool was at a nice temperature perfect to cool down in but not so cold you didn’t want to get in. We also swam at night and it was just right, only down fall to the Villa was the current in the sea, it’s impossible to swim in ,very dangerous in fact. Unlike other islands in the Maldives where you have a reef around the island so the water is calm and very little current this island is just open water so the water is very choppy. The water on the beaches across the island is calmer and great to swim in but water surrounding the island and villas is unsafe. Food overpriced for the Quality/ Amount of food you get. Limited Entertainment on the night. For example, a bottle of pinot Grigio wine that would cost £7 in the UK, would cost you 75 dollars (which is the cheapest wine listed) so roughly £60/£65 , A margarita pizza is 40 dollars. So yes, very expensive and the quality doesn’t really justify it. The all inclusive package doesn’t really make much sense as it’s 500++ euros roughly per night per person to upgrade but does not include all drinks on the menu and only a 65 dollar discount on your food bill, (typically your food bill is 250 dollars per night.) Resort needs to consider a better all inclusive package that reflects quality of food service. Our total bill on checkout was 2,400 USD, Thats with only dinner as we didn’t eat lunch and had maximum two drinks daily. There is also a none optional service charge and tax added on to every bill. The Restaurants have a limited menu and all feel like they serve similar food. Our host, Oybek on the other hand was brilliant, there for you at every hour of the day ready to assist, lovely and caring. Even playing a massive part in helping me propose to my girlfriend so a massive thank-you to him! All in all a Luxurious Holiday with stunning views and extensive service from the staff.

Dear Josh, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback from your visit to Radisson Blu Resort, Maldives. We are delighted to read from your review that you enjoyed your recent stay with us and we also appreciate you pointing out the excellent service you received from our island hosts. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to respond to your concerns. Do need to take note that produce is air freighted into Maldives and with logistics this is very much a different scenario comparing it to back home. In regards to alcohol, due to religious / cultural values, alcohol is quite heavily taxed - again different proposition compared to back home. Having said the above we always look at ways to improve our value proposition on island. It is always a pleasure to have you as our guest look forward to welcoming you back in the future. After arriving at Radisson Blu Resort, our room service person was Akhil who was very considerate and caring towards our stay, he made the room very clean whilst adding additional parts to our villa such as a note created using palm tree leaves and a flower bubble bath for our family which left a great impression. We really enjoyed our time here and hope to come back soon again. 🏄♀️🏝🛖
