We stayed at Maple Bank from Thursday to Sunday as a last minute weekend away. The house was easy to find and totally lived up to the reviews we had read before going. Our room was a nice size with beautiful views of Skiddaw and the surrounding hills. Tea/coffee making facilities, small shower room and a very comfortable bed. Plus...

Nice place tommy and his wife are amazing. Breathtaking views facing the fells. Will definitely revisit and stay again. Short walk to a pub for local food. Outside the village close to lakes and all around views of fells. Myself and my wife loved the place and hospitality.

Although being on the top floor, the view was worth it as our room faced Skiddaw and the surrounding fells which was absolutely gorgeous. The bed was very comfortable, large room with plenty of storage and good sized en suite shower room. Everything was very clean. Our room was actually the family room and also had a single bed, which...

I stayed here with a friend for two nights in October and had a lovely experience. We arrived at 1100 but the owners let us leave our luggage so that we could enjoy our walking knowing our belongings were secure. The rooms are very clean and roomy and they are very dog friendly. I will definitely be visiting again.

Loved listening to the wild wind we had the night we were there whilst tucked up all cosy inside. The breakfast was delicious too. Faced with a 400+ miles journey back south from a Sunday wedding in Scotland, we were grateful to be taken in by Rhona & Tommy on an out-of-season Monday night. Maple Bank provides a very good breakfast, as we discovered, but despite being a little way out of Keswick Maple Bank is also very well-placed for nearby restaurants & pubs,...

Stayed here for 2 nights in a twin room. Rhona greeted us and was very welcoming and friendly. The room was very clean and the beds most comfortable. Breakfast was exceptional a range of cereals, fruit juices, yoghurt and fresh fruit, as well as a full English or any combination requested. Would certainly recommend and will stay here again when...

Our first visit to Maple Bank. We received a warm welcome from our friendly & helpful hosts. It’s in a superb location – within easy walking distance of Braithwaite (for good Pub food) and also to explore the surrounding area. Our en-suite room was a good size – well appointed and with great views across to Skiddaw etc. A really...

What is the point of visiting a National Park and end up staying in a town? That's what happens if you stay in Keswick. Maple Bank is on the edge of a small village, you can still walk to three pubs, your closer to the Whinlatter Mountain Biking Centre than Keswick, & only 3-4 ins drive from Keswick. You are...
