Welcome to Bonville Golf Resort, acknowledged as one of the world’s most beautiful golf courses, consistently voted as the most beautiful in Australia & a is the only 3 time winner of Australia’s Leading Golf Resort by the World Travel Awards (2006, 2011 & 2012). Situated halfway between Sydney & Brisbane on the beautiful Coffs Coast, Bonville Golf Resort is the ideal location for your next individual or group golfing experience, wedding & reception, conference, dining experience, short stay accommodation or a long relaxing holiday. The breathtaking setting of Bonville has seen it described by Peter Mc Whinney, a respected and much travelled Australian Professional Golfer, as ” the most beautiful golf course in Australia, if not the world”. Voted, “the most beautiful golf course in mainland Australia” for a tenth successive year by The Golf Course Guide, the resort is rated as one of the best in Australia. The Par 72 championship course rises and dips through the serene and beautiful layout with each fairway isolated and private from the next. It’s great appeal lies in the fact that it will stimulate and challenge golfers of every standard. Once you have experienced the beauty and allure of Bonville you will want to return again and again.

After hearing rave reviews of Bonville for a while, we decided to give it a try. Initial appearance is absolutely visually stunning. However, like a Monet, when you are a little closer to the detail, we were disappointed. Due to weather (which I know is outside of their control), the course was in my opinion unplayable, water pooling on fairways and some greens. For your interest, according to them the course is ALWAYS playable unless the cart paths become unpassable. We were booked in for a 2 night stay but lasted 3 holes. A very disappointing result given the condition of the course which means instead of receiving an 18 hole "rain-check" and coming back another time, we were offered a 9 hole "rain-check" but only able to play on a Monday or Tuesday. Price gouging at it's best. As per other reviews, the hotel is comfortable but the biggest let down is very limited wi-fi and TV reception. This is something that can be easily fixed for minimal effort.

Simply outstanding. The golf course is so gorgeous and manicured. The restaurant is seriously brilliant with spectacular food, and a fabulous wine list. And the staff are without exception on the ball and focused on giving you the best experience possible.

The Golf course was spectacular , however the rest of the stay very poor. Accommodation very old, not well equipped at all. No crockery, wine glasses, no working TV, very loud AirCon. 3 course dinner: each food very well presented, but unfortunately that’s all. Everything absolutely tasteless, very overpriced for the quality of the meals. No wine selection and experienced staff. Coles frozen rolls with cheapest butter, pasta swimming in oil with frozen prawns, definitely not a meal or even luxury dining experience as promoted. Summary: Very overpriced ($700 / per night ) , in terms of the quality what You get. Overall: Very nice property, amazing golf course, but requires further development and soffisticated leadership.

Dear Veronika, We HAVE RECEIVED EXCELLENT FEEDBACK from our guests since re-opening as most people can see that we are offering the best service we can given the COVID regulations which we are required to follow. Our main focus at this trying time is to ensure the safety of our guests and staff along with creating the best experience possible for our guests. We offer a wine list with over 90 different wines which our clientele accept as more than adequate. We generally have a 300 strong wine list but due to COVID-19 Safety Regulations we can no longer offer our full wine list to each and every customer as each and every menu has to be laminated and wiped down after every use having a 21 page wine list was not feasible for us during these unprecedented times. All of our restaurant staff are highly trained with regards to food and wines. Your comment regarding lack of experienced staff is not reflective of our staffs ability and experience. I am not sure if you are aware but in the hospitality industry we have some very strict Government Regulations to abide by including single serve salt and pepper and butter. We offer a single serving of Lurpak Butter as well as single serve sea salt and cracked pepper sachets to ensure we are meeting all COVID-19 Government Regulations. Our accommodation is a 4 Star Rating and classed as a “Hotel Room” so yes, no cooking facilities are required. I believe that $350 for a round of golf at one of Australia’s best golf courses , electric cart and GPS, hotel accommodation, full hot breakfast and a 3 course meal that evening is good value. It is always going to be difficult to please everyone and we understand that you may make alternative arrangements in future.. Regards, GENERAL MANAGER

I've stayed here twice, and it is good to see the resort reopen to visitors. The golf side of things is 5 star, beautiful course, well maintained and the pro shop is very well managed. It is a shame that more care isn't taken with the accommodation and the rooms really feel very tired. The biggest problem we had though was breakfast which we waited an hour for. When you have a golf booking you need to be able to get out of the door fairly promptly in order to go and warm up etc. Most of the staff were helpful and polite but we had one very grumpy lady who denied that we'd waited an hour when I complained. Not the right attitude. But as I say, most of the staff were lovely.

Dear Lois, Thank you for your review and kinds words about our Golf Course and staff. I am sorry about the delay in your breakfast. Unfortunately, with the new COVID-19 Government Regulations we can no longer offer continental buffet and therefore every single meal is cooked to order. Depending on what time you come up to the restaurant, this can increase the wait time in the restaurant for breakfast. As these regulations are all new to us also we are constantly working on ways to better assist guests in this area. Again thank you for your kind words and we look forward to welcoming you back to Bonville Golf Resort when time permits. Regards, GENERAL MANAGER

Beautiful course played there today however it is expensive and considering course extremely wet being charged $180 was steep I thought. Staff were extremely helpful and efficient, Beautifully maintained course
