I love it. Very good location. Beach just across the road. Comfortable room and very good food. Fresh and tasty. Lots to do on the beach. Paddle boards, ski jets, boats. Small shop just on the corner and couple of beach shops around hotel. Everything in one place.

Best reccomedations for this hotel. Close to the beach with restaurant and beach bar, also very close to the Trogir pod city. Very pleased with staff and tidyness. Pretty sure we are coming next year also.

A hotel of two halves, the old one and the new one across the road. The food was poor, and everything was only warm at best, if not cold. The choices were limited but there were a few hot and cold foods and small cakes. Breakfast was similar. The room is nice and big with a walk-in shower, but no lift yet in the new hotel, so it was a long way up to the 3rd floor, but a nice location near the sea.

After many hours of driving, we arrived at the hotel and given the room 24a on the 3rd floor, that was not the 3rd floor(Long story). I went first and when i opened the door, i couldnt believe my eyes! The room had the shape of a Cresent moon and half the floor was streight, but when the wooden floor began, the room was tilting down. The beds were placed on the two oposit sites and the bathroom door was made from glass entirely and was very hard and noisy to open and close. The whole room had windows all around, but thank God, thic curtains. My friend sat on her bed and it was broken, and because we were so tired, she just put the wood back and tried to sleep there. The other horrible thing was that once you finish showering , you could hear knockings through the wall like someone was hiting the wall with a sledge hammer, and that made us even more afraid, because we understood that the "room" was first a balcony that was made into a room so they can add more space at the hotel! All night i was trying to sleep and i was feeling that i was about to roll down the bed to the floor, because of the tilt. Oh, and the door was not locking from the inside, so i put the table that was in the middle of the room behind it, to feel safer. The only good thing this hotel had, was the Amazing Breakfast with lots and lots of things, and even fresh fruits. Forgot to mention that another Couple from our group, slept with the windows open all night because the room was smeling like a sewer! Shame on them, because this hotel could be a good one.

Just returned from 9 nights at this hotel. Let’s get the first thing out the way, if you speak English it sounds like Hotel Sweaty Chris, and we all know one of those, don’t we? So let’s ignore that as we’re all grown ups. I have to say some of the negative reviews on here make me laugh, have you ever heard of the phrase ‘you get what you pay for’? Therefore, if you book a standard room, guess what, you’re going to get something pretty basic and something that’s possibly not been upgraded for a while. The hotel is basically two buildings. The main hotel, which is the older building and a new block opposite which is newer and houses the premium rooms. I booked a premium room with sea view and guess what I got? A room in the new block at the front with a sea view! I booked just bed and breakfast as I never understand why you want all your meals in one place, each to their own I suppose! Breakfast is a standard buffet with cereals, cakes, croissants, cold meats etc plus a hot section but don’t go thinking you’ll be getting a full English. The only thing I really recognised were eggs, everything else was either, green, pink or red? , but guess what, you’re in Croatia, it’s going to be different, embrace it and try something new or have cake, cereal! Sea view from the restaurant is nice. The pool is always empty, purely because it’s in the shade for most of the day, great if you have little ones that you want to keep out of the sun. We spent our days at the beach which is just across the road. We hired a double bed everyday at 150kuna (approx £17 so a bit extravagant) but many people were just using towels on the beach. The beach is stones rather than sand so sea shoes are a wise purchase. Someone mentioned the close proximity to the airport and the noise which is very unfair. Yes you can see the airport from the beach, it’s directly opposite, but there’s a massive expanse of the Adriatic in between, plus it’s not Heathrow, there are some planes taking off/landing throughout the day but they do not affect your day unless you just like moaning. The hotel has a gym but I use the term loosely. It’s a room in the basement (which you reach via a Harry Potter under the stairs type door) which has a running machine and various other weight training machines, pretty basic and crowded if more than 2 people are in. The hotel has a beach bar/restaurant right on the beach (the clue is in the title) which does food (adequate) drinks, cocktails etc but is pretty basic. Other than that and one other smaller beach bar, there is nothing else around (and I mean nothing) so you need to get yourself to Trogir. Trogir is great for nightlife as it is full of restaurants, bars and shops and (unless you’ve hired a car) the best way to get there is by boat. There is a jetty on the beach where you can catch the ferry at 5 past the hour and the return trip from Trogir is at half past the hour (last boat is at 23:30). Cost 30 kuna per adult (£3.40) and takes about 20 mins. So if you are looking for a cheap holiday in Croatia, you can’t go wrong with this place, but do yourself a favour and book a premium room with a sea view (the view out the back ain’t that pretty). Hopefully my photos will help, apologies for the state of the room, took the pics on leaving day. Enjoy!

Unlike some of the posts I’ve read in other places, I found the Svet Križ to be clean, inviting and downright classic! The staff was very friendly and consistently making sure I was comfortable. I will definitely stay there when I come back.!

Excellent food variety, very friendly staff. Very clean. Great domestic prosciutto. Feels like home. It was a great 5 days stay, would definitely recommend Čiovo is an island for exploring. Many beaches, sand or stone...somethingProsciutto for everyone.

The hotel is overrated. The real standard is 2 stars. The hotel needs upgrading in each level.Poor location- next to the busy road and the airport is opposite the hotel.Next door church starts bells ringing at 6am every day.Rooms are small and need upgrading, shower rooms are being in use at least 30 years with no improvement- yellow stains in the shower floor, shower head can not be fixed(too old),problems with towels -never on time in the room or not ready, too old.Bedding with stains, never been changed.Breakfast- standard continental, everything is limited-bread,fruits,salads.If you come to the end of breakfast or dinner there is no food left. Dinner is very poor. The same cheap and repetitive choice of menu for every day.You can see dirty plates and cutleries in a serving area. All plates different sizes and purposes are in one pile. Our first impression in our stay in this hotel is a very poor level of hospitality.Receptionists are poorly informed about locations, travel time, transport links,The only answer have been given-do it private. The information on the hotel website is incorrect in many ways- there is no private beach, umbrellas or sunbeds next to the sea,so you have to pay extra. Our first night we slept in the attic room in the bike house next to the restaurant which we never booked for our holiday.Conclusion-never again
