Down in Sussex for an event we chose to stay at the Tiger Inn for its location. The village is beautiful and very well situated for coastal exploring and walking. There's a deli and a tea shop as well as a Thai restaurant so visitors are very well catered for - and the large car park makes for easy parking....

Needing an evening meal as we were staying at Belle Tout lighthouse we thought the Tiger Inn was the perfect venue.......it's a lovely old pub but the roast turkey dinner was pretty disgusting.Burnt, lumpy salty gravy, soggy Yorkshire pudding, dried out chewy parsnips, tinned sausages limp cold roast potatoes and no sign of stuffing.the turkey was edible thank goodness and I chewed my way...

My partner and I are moving to East Dean soon so took our family to The Tiger for lunch or tried to ! We were told it was full and not to sit at an empty table as it was reserved, fair enough but we were not offered any curtousy or choice to have a drink. Very rude and apparently...

First visit to the tiger inn . The car park is large and right next door but it's very dark no lighting at all so watch your step . The inn itself is charming with period low ceilings so mind your head ! On our visit we found the inn to be very cosy and warm ,very warm in fact...

For the past 30 years this used to be our favourite pub but what a sad place it is now. We were there for supper this week giving it one last try, but - staff talking loudly amongst themselves continually - cold with no fire in the lovely old fireplace - limited menu options and food average - pricey all...

Historically I have eaten at the Tiger on many occasions and the food has always been pretty good but on the last two occasions it has been very disappointing. On the first occasion I thought maybe it was just a bad day but the last visit was even worse. We had to wait an hour for our food and when...

We have known the Tiger for over 40 years from the days when it did the best Ploughman's in the country and we would race down from Nottingham on the first Saturday of our holidays to get there in time for lunch. Times have moved on and so has The Tiger. The menu has been updated and much to my...

We stayed here in 2011 and had a great time, with lovely food, comfortable room and great atmosphere. We have since returned a couple of times just for a meal, always been great food. On the basis of these visits, we stayed for two nights last week but sadly were disappointed to find that things have gone down hill a...

Nice surroundings and worth a drive out for a drink on a sunny sunday afternoon. Limited food menu but you get large portions. Quality of food is very nice. Be prepared to wait for food as they get very busy.

Menu choices very ordinary. My fish and chips very average, with rather odd peas. My guest had chicken and leek pie, with a mountain of mash. No gravy. Also very average. Expected better from this picturesque country pub
