What a place. This B&B is run by family, who takes great care of their guests. The house has to rooms to book. One small, and one suite.
Stayed in the small room, who is a room in the house at the ground floor. On top is the suite.
The room downstairs has good beds, storage, warm water, and a great bathroom, and everything is kept so clean and fresh by the family.
The family is just so friendly, and they will cook dinner for you by charge, and it is fantastic food. Great and homemade. Breakfast is also served, and the eggs is served with a smile. Try it! The son serve the food, and everything is almost like a restaurant, but just more personal and classy. Try it!
They can also serve drinks for you, or you can grab a drink from the fridge at the room, and they will fill up again next day for you. It’s also cheap, which goes for both dinners and drinks.
If you want some peace and relaxing times, this is the place to be. Also it is near the small beach, you can take a small hike, see some hummingbirds next to the house, or you can go by taxi to the nearby and well known city of Trinidad.
The family can and will arrange taxi for you, if you want to go, far or just close.
At sunset, you must go and enjoy the time at the family’s rooftop. Best panorama view I have seen in many years, by day, or at sunset, with the water and mountains surrounding the house.
This place and city is so calm and relaxing, and the place is full of love and kindness.
Three days wasn’t enough, and felt so welcome in the small city, and house.

Family run business, instantly felt at home. Got upgraded to master suite because it was not being used which made our stay super comfortable. There was private terrace, chairs to relax and admire the sky. I recommend having breakfast ($5 USD)and dinner ($10 USD) at this place because is excellent! and bring batteries because at the moment we rented the room the safe was not functional due to the lack of batteries, but they gave us a key, so it work out. Also there was no hair dryer in the room but they lend us theirs. Keep in mind that in Cuba things are not easy to get so be mindful of everything when you borrow stuff. Had an excellent time and is near the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen.

We were supposed to stay a couple of days, but ended up staying a week. Both because of the uncertainty because of the pandemic and cancelled flight, but also because we loved it and had a very relaxing time. We had our own little deck outside and was served a lovely breakfast every morning. The host, his family and nephew were super friendly. From La boca you can take a cab or go cycling to several wonderful beaches. The beach in La Boca is not that great and I wish they would clean up the area as there was to much trash. There were two restaurant nearby and we especially loved the closest one, with blue interior. We also took a cab in to Trinidad, which is a beautiful and interesting city! After the week here we moved on to Varadero, which we didn't like at all. Life is much more tranquil in La Boca and at Hostal Cuba. My absolute recommendations!

It is a very small place which is run by the family. The went out of their way to make me feel at home. The food was beautifully prepared and delicious. The rooms were well maintained and spotlessly clean. It is located in a tiny village which is fun to walk around and meet the locals. I rented a bike one day and rode to a beach to snorkel. I wish I could have spent more time there.

Somehow I always used to prefer a stay in a hotel over a hostel (don't know why...). Our stay in this Hostal in Trinidad, however, changed my mind. This was by far our best experience in Cuba in terms of a clean rooms, hospitality, food, etc. combined.

We had a great very clean room with a nice bathroom. The Hostal is located right by the sea which guarantees you a nice view (especially if you book the suite).
We also had dinner at the Hostel which I would definitely recommend. After a long day in Trinidad we returned to the house where we were served an incredibly tasty four course meal which was served by Ron - the by far genuinely nicest and best waiter we had during our stay in Cuba. Thanks Ron :)

The family who run this hostel are super friendly and genuinely nice people who don't just see you as some random guest who checks in and out the next day. The owner of the Hostal even helped us with our Taxi transfer on our last day and took the time to arrange everything for us and make sure and transfer to our next stop went smoothly.

Long story short: You should definitely go to Trinidad for a 1 or 2 day stay. And if you go there book a stay in this Hostal. You will definitely not regret it

Hostal Cuba was great! Our stay there was truly a stay to remember with good people, clean and nice room and interesting things to do and see around the area.

The room was not only bigger than in a 5 star resort where we also stayed during our trip in Cuba but also more luxurios. The upstair room is more like a suite with a king size bed and huge terrace with sea/mountain view. It really stands out even compared to European standards - everything was nice and clean.

The best thing about our stay was the nicest people, Elpidio and his family. They helped us with everything from the bikes to the taxi drives. La Boca is a small, quiet, relaxed fishing village close (bike ride away) to the Playa Ancon, a white sandy beach and Trinidad's city (4 kilometres from La Boca) full of history, music and even nightlife with salsa and a party at a cave.

Breakfast, lunch and dinner are offered at Hostal Cuba - to enjoy a private meal at your own terrace is something one doesn't often experience.

My partner Mike and I stayed at this lovely casa for four nights in December 14. I am unable to fault it! We loved it and didn't want to leave.

Firstly, the setting is unbelievably beautiful. It over looks both the mountains and the sea. As I write this in England, my heart is a little bit broken that I am not sitting on the roof with a cocktail watching the sun go down!

The accommodation is clean and very comfortable and Elpidio and his family are extremely good hosts. If you stay there, don't even think about eating anywhere else... Norma's food (Elpidio's Mum) is the best and very good value. Both breakfast and evening meals are fantastic!

The whole family are lovely and can't do enough for you. Elpidio also speaks fluent English and is happy to give you advice about a things Cuba.

If you are tired of the crowed streets in Trinidad and the sometimes the low standard in the B&B's in the city, then Hostal Cuba is the right place. Me and my girlfriend stayed their for two nights and we really enjoyed the hospitable atmosphere at the hostal. The hostal is located only 4 km from Trinidad city, so it's no problem having a good evening in Trinidad with some mojitos and then take a taxi back to Playa La Boca(I think we payed 5 cuc, each way). Playa La Boca also offers a nice beach and some beach bars. The breakfast and the dinner is also recommendable.

PS. They speak English :-)

If you are planning to visit Trinidad, consider staying at Hostal Cuba in La Boca, about 15 km from Trinidad. It’s a small lovely fisherman’s village.
This hostel is really fabulous. The room was very spacious. The beds excellent. The terraces on the first and second floor are huge. From these places you have a nice overview of the bay. During your stay, the flag of your own country will flutter alongside the Cuban flag.
The delicious breakfast is served on the terrace in front of your room every morning. Coffee, tea, bread and fresh fruit. Besides breakfast they serve lunch and dinner too.
The staff is very kind and their service is very extensive. The dirty laundry handed in in the morning, was returned clean in the room in the afternoon.
They really want you to feel at home. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The staff was outstanding and even more so was the dinner and the breakfast they prepared. I felt like in a 5-star restaurant sitting on the rooftop with my family and enjoying a 3-course meal with a salad and banana chips, soup, a choice of fish, of which I chose tuna, my mom took shrimp and my dad took a lobster and an ice cream dessert at the end. The quality of the food was unbelievable, with fresh bread for breakfast, with fresh fruit, vegetables, and egg omelet. The rooms were great and very big, and the bathrooms were super nice.

Definitely certificate of excellence worthy.
