We recently spent one night in this lovely B&B set away down a narrow lane in a delightful setting away from it all. After a warm welcome from David & Elizabeth along with tea and cake we enjoyed the peaceful grounds and delicious dinner at the nearby Charlton Arms In Ludlow. We returned in time for Elizabeth to introduce us...

A beautifully secluded cottage tucked down a narrow lane seemingly in the middle of nowhere. Very quiet and peaceful. We were warmly welcomed by David and Elizabeth, their chickens, ducks, geese and sheep! The bedroom was comfortable, clean and recently redecorated and stocked with various teas, coffees and cakes. Good location for visiting Ludlow and the surrounding area. We would...

Elizabeth & David Hatchell were very welcoming with an offer of tea and cake. In our bedroom a basket of various biscuits and drinks and a bowl of wild flowers from the garden and.very comfortable beds. Couldn't ask for more. It turned out to be a wonderful base for walking the Shropshire hills. The gardens were a sight to behold...

An extremely warm welcome from Elizabeth and David and a generous sharing of all that Croft Cottage and environs have to offer (a lot) made this a lovely stay for us. Great breakfasts and an extremely quiet and comfortable bedroom. The badger-watching experience is not to be missed - even on the rare occasions when Brock doesn't show up. We...

If you are looking for somewhere to stay that has no traffic noise, starry skies and nature all around, then you have come to the right place. The welcome that we received from David and Elisabeth was warm, but never intrusive. Breakfast was lovely and locally sourced, often from on-site! We were in reaching distance of Ludlow; Leominster; Cleobury Mortimer;...

This guest property was lovely, set in beautiful gardens, they had lovely animals. A good base to explore the area. The hosts could not have been more welcoming, the breakfasts were plentiful and set you up for the day. The bed was very comfy we slept like a log, it had everything one needs for a break, and we would...

I do realise that we were your second choice of accommodation after a double-booking elsewhere, but I am slightly puzzled by the fact that you say that 'the bed was very comfy we slept like a log' but only gave us 4/5 for 'sleep quality'. It would be helpful also to know why we don't represent better 'value'. Elizabeth

We reserved this B&B for 3 nights. Keywords: hospitality, friendly, quiet in the night, good beds, lovely animals for sure the lookout at the badgers ! I only can subscribe what has been told by others. This is the 2nd best B&B we have been in for the last 15 years. Although the wheater was not bad wheater for April,...

Four of us travelled to Croft Cottage initially to see Badgers. We were impressed with both the hospitality of our hosts,David and Elizabeth, and the delightful Cottage and gardens. We had a room per couple. These were more than adequate, and well serviced, with plenty of Coffee, Tea, etc. It wasnt the fault of Shropshire or Ludlow or our hosts,...

My friend and I, garden, animal and countryside lovers, fell in love with this place as soon as we arrived down a long narrow country lane and found a delightful cottage garden and stream surrounding a lovely cottage. We had a room each, and the addition of fresh flowers, home baked cake and fruit in each of our rooms were...

We selected Croft Cottage using Google search for accommodation in the Ludlow area. We were not disappointed to say the least! We were intrigued by the prospect of seeing badgers and, while that was a fantastic experience in itself, it was the wonderful hospitality of our charming hosts, Elizabeth and David, that truly made our stay memorable. They really have...
