While the rate was reasonable, the place was little more than a granny flat in a backyard. Calling this accommodation luxury is definitely stretching the truth ... Not sure it would qualify as 3 star. The spa wasn't working and no attempt to fix it ... The sofa bed wasn't suitable for sleeping on so advertising the apartment accommodates 4 is really stretching it. We left a day early ..My advice . Find somewhere else :(

My wife and I stayed at Penny's for a weekend in Oct 2010. Their website claims that it is a "luxurious [...] accommodation", but I think that's a bit of a hyperbole. We weren't expecting luxury for that price, so this wasn't a problem for us.
We stayed in the Scallop room and it cost us $290 for 2 nights. The Scallop room is smallish, but we found it OK since we only stayed 2 nights and didn't spend too much time in the room. It has built-in wardrobes and a stand for unpacking your suitcase, and the bathroom is a good size (with a separate toilet).
One issue we had was that there was a bit of noise in our room, presumably from the sliding doors used inside one of the other rooms. This may or may not be a problem for you, and will really depend on how often the other guests are using that door (I believe it's the bathroom door).
There is a shared balcony which overlooks Currarong beach---breakfast is served here if the weather is nice, which we liked. I really enjoyed the cooked breakfast, especially the smoked salmon omelette.
I found the owners Dennis and Penny to be very hospitable: they gave us plenty of privacy, but they were also available to give us a few tips / opinions about the local area. The surrounding area is really nice, and there is plenty to do in both the Beecroft Weapons Range and Jervis Bay areas.
Overall we enjoyed our stay here.

Full kitchen, BBQ and outdoor setting, outdoor spa. Very comfy for 2 people but more would be very crowded. Never got the DVD to work, probably user error. Accom is a granny flat setup in the owners yard, no view but just across the road from Culburra Beach. I did not know the area and did not realise how far from the gentler beaches they were. Certainly recommend for a 3 day weekend. The owners were very friendly.
