Chiang Kahn is a small city with a boulevard along the Mekong. It has a touristic street where you van buy a t-shirt of a icecream. The town has a pleasant atmoshere. There are a lot of nice small hotels and guesthouses. Tonkhon guesthouse is not one of them. The staff is not really interested in your wellbeing. There is...

stayed here for only 1 night as i didn't feel welcome to stay any longer! for the price paid the value provided was just slightly below average. seems that they cater more for the thai customers and take the foreign guests for granted but still ok for a 1 night stay. there is only 1 lady who speaks english so...

Clean bed included bathroom, water heater, cable TV, air-conditioner, towels, free water. There're open air living room on the second floor and dining room with Khong river's view. Very nice breakfast.

We paid 250Baht per night for a very small double room (with fan) with shared shower and toilet, but the large communal balcony area overlooking the Mekong made up for the lack of space in our room.
