Reservation is usually done through their website. Note that if you wish to get the Fadoq card rebate, you must reserve by phone. Staff was polite at all times. Our room was ready when we arrived. Located on the ground floor close to the kitchen of the restaurant part, it was surprisingly quiet. The room itself was simply furnished in a modern style but well appointed. Everything was clean. Bed was comfortable. Standard bathroom had enough towels and soap/shampoo. Wifi worked well and there was plenty of free parking. Price was reasonable. What else do you need? Note: The inn itself is situated right beside the local IGA grocery store. Very practical if you wish to make a picnic on the beach right behind (the inn has a little area with tables & chairs accessing the beach). Across the street, the bakery sells excellent 'renversés à l'érable' (croissant dough in a swirl with maple syrup & pecans). Great for breakfast!…
We popped into the restaurant here, very last minute when we were staying in Carleton-Sur-Mer and what a pleasant surprise. The service was excellent and so was the food. You really need to have the seafood soup. It was full of seafood, with a caramelized scallop cooked perfectly. They also have a little gift shop where I found these Balsalmic Pearls, that I've been wanted to purchase for a while.
We arrived really late the first night but they accomodate us (first thumbs up). We were in a tiny room in our first night, we were a family of 3 people with our little girl, it was ok (clean room, comfortable bed). We managed to put a inflatable bed in the room but with our luggages it was not possible to put it in. :) Then, we asked for another room if a cancelation will occur. So surprise!!! We got a really beautiful room, great space, really clean with a view to the sea, and a dining/relaxing area. We were amazed and greatful! (especially compared to the other room). so another thumbs up for that! So I highly recommend you this place from the welcome from the reception to the room service and everything. People here are really nice. Thank you so much! We really appreciate it! And also the restaurant, food was very good. Due to Covid, we just went there once for breakfast and ordered something to take-out for lunch. All of them really tasty. Definitely we will come back and thanks for all.…
We loved it here. the seafood is soup is TO DIE FOR! totally worth it just for that. the service was great and the food was really good. overall we enjoyed both of our meals here and would recommend. the seafood pasta was good and my husband had the cod. great place!
We stayed here during a saddle bag snowmobile trip and had a wonderful stay! Nice room with a great view with the comfiest beds of the week! Very clean/updated room and friendly staff. The bar and restaurant were great with very good food. There was even a little kitchen and gathering area where we met in the evenings. Would love to come back in the summer!
The room was clean and the bed confortables. There is a kitchen available for all the clients of the hotel. The wifi wasn't working all the time. We had the room above the kitchen and heard the refrigerators all the night. The floor was even vibrating. It was very hard to sleep. It's unacceptable.
We only saw the hotel from the point of view of the restrooms which were very nice. We were attracted for lunch by the terrace, but it is on the parking lot. The food was wonderful, Service was excellent.
Je suis désolé, je ne parle pas français. We came from United States and stayed here on 3 different occasions. Restaurant has **excellent** food, friendly staff, and were very helpful even though I don't speak French. Location is right on Chaleur Bay and is beautiful! Close to grocery store, gas station etc. Update: Rooms were remodeled in 2015/2016 and are much nicer now! I will definitely stay there again. Merci!
We booked an updated room with 2 queens. Renovations were wonderful. Beds were very comfy. This Inn has a common kitchen upstairs which is such a great idea. We didn't eat in the restaurant but the menu looked good and had lots of variety. Large lawn in the back and overlooks the ocean.
I went to the Auberge du Marchand after completing a morning of cross country skiing in Maria. The waitress was welcoming and extremely efficient. I had the special of the day: poutine avec porc effiloché. I had been warned by the waitress that the small portion would be plenty and it was the case. The poutine was very good but the porc does add a lot of salt to the dish and I was served numerous glasses of water to quench my thurst. I'd recommend the place for a nice hot meal after a day outside.
