We are a small boutique property with only 20 units and hence very personalized service. We are located on the beach of Isla Palo Seco of Parrita, just two hours from San Jose, Costa Rica with nothing between you and the ocean except a few palm trees. We offer 1, 2 & 3 bedroom units. Anything from a standard hotel room to a full 2,200 sq ft. living area with full kitchen and dining area. Isla Palo Seco is still one of the undiscovered authentic beach destinations unspoiled by loads of tourists, yet has a local community to fulfill basic needs while vacationing. The city of Parrita is a ten-minute drive away and has banks, supermarkets, restaurants, shopping, churches and a medical clinic. There are taxis and bus service to Quepos, Jaco and San Jose.

I took my wife and daughter to Costa Rica for the first time and neither of them have ever been to a developing country. Staying in a luxury resort was an option we considered because there are some great ones in Costa Rica. However, then...More
We had a great stay, comfortable and they all have a beautiful customer service plus the restaurant service and food was wonderful. The place is in a beautiful hidden paradise and i highly recommend to visit Cocomar hotel. Also very close to the beach and...More
The hotel is located in a peaceful beach just 30 minutes from Manuel Antonio and 30 minutes from Jaco. The room was nice and clean, food was great and Peter and Chad were really really nice with us. I highly recommend this place.
Great hotel management and staff. Cold, comfortable rooms and stone tile bathrooms. Free breakfast is wonderful, drinks and dinner are kind of expensive. Two different buildings with full suites or two twin beds. Sit in the shaded hut on the edge of the deserted, black...More
It’s a small hotel. I expected, based on the reviews, a cozy and well maintained place. A boutique place
But there are many negatives. The breakfast is poor. No choices at all except por gallo pinto and eggs. They serve no lunch so you have...More

Hi the main highways around CR are fine and well kept up but the smaller dirt roads like the one leading into the hotel is an unpaved dirt road with a few pot holes and rocks. I didnt think they were that bad not any different from dirt roads anyhere else. We rented a small suv it got us around just fine. I would highly recommend renting a gps as it was a life saver for us. We rented our car from enterprise and had no issues with them. It was a 4 cylinder so the get up and go was a little slow. Alot of the parks are off the beaten path so I would consider an suv for sure. Rainmaker park was only about 20 minutes from the hotel and we really enjoyed that buts its a drive up into the rainforest on a dirt road but well worth it. Probably our favorite thing we did while there. Also Mar y sol the resturant up the road from the hotel was just awesome and very well priced. To us the dinners in the hotel seemed a little over priced and not much selection so we ate lunches and dinners out. Hope you have a wonderful time CR is a great place to visit. It was our first time and loved it and we went during the rainy season. Please free to ask any more questions you may have.

Hello Raj, the accomodation and view from the hotel are good. I did not use Spa and did not seen the yoga classes, but do not expect the hotel to be like a 4 star in US. This hotel is more familiar and as the location is a little isolated, you will not find all the facilities as in a chain hotel. You will like to stay there if you want to be isolated from noise and feel nature. have a good trip.
