We booked a table for an Easter lunch for 1pm. We arrived at 12.50pm and the restaurant was packed, it's a popular pub! Service was slow and our food finally arrived at 1.55pm when most other people had left. Only quick bit of the service was bringing the bill and the cash machine - no wait there! My impression was...

Dear DorsetAgaLady Oh dear, it was really busy on Sunday and you were unfortunately (through no fault of your own) our very last table to be served. One of the craziest days of the year, made a little crazier by a large party that were very late and held us up in the kitchen before we served your table. Sorry...

Went to the Langton Arms after being recommended the place by the locals. Eight of us went for lunch. Food was excellent well priced considering the location. Quantity was just right to fill the empty spot. Highly recommend the ale pie. Homemade Burger. Ox Livers and ploughmans lunch. No complaints from any of the party. Kids well catered for. Staff...

I stayed here as a guest for two nights in early April. The pub is situated in lovely picturesque village in Dorset. The room I had was comfortable, clean and fully functional. Meals were superb - best steak I've had I think. Breakfasts were very enjoyable and the staff were friendly, attentive and effective. There is a good selection of...

I was looking for somewhere to take my wife for our anniversary meal, and having been here twice before, it was an easy decision to book here again. I mentioned on the phone that it was our anniversary when booking, and they made sure we had a nice quiet table out in the back of the restaurant and gave us...

I visited with my Girlfriend last Saturday. I had booked a table earlier in the day and we were shown to our table in the bar area. The pub was rather busy as you'd expect for a Saturday evening. Starters were very good, myself I had pigeon breast which was good if not ever so slightly over cooked. For mains...

My wife & I had enjoyed our previous trip to Dorset - so planned another visit but with a base location further East this time. Research had suggested that the Langton Arms would meet our requirements of a quiet location with a good standard of accommodation and food. We were not disappointed by our three night stay. We were met...

We were really looking forward to our Sunday roast at The Langton Arms, great reviews and a personal recommendation. We were booked for 12.00 noon. We had starters and when these were cleared we were told there would be about a 10 minute wait for main courses. This turned into about 20 minutes. The roast potatoes were very large, very...

A gorgeous sunny day, a beautiful location, and as we were informed... 70 covers. We arrived at about 1pm, and asked whether we'd be able to have lunch outside in the gorgeous weather, to which a very abrupt wrong side of 50 female remarked "we've got 70 covers today so we have to think of them, we're not offering garden...

Dear theaaronp, As ever there are two sides to every tale here on Trip Advisor. Sunday was glorious, unprecedented weather for the...
