If you are looking thru boutique hotels in the area and planning your trip. Pack your swim suit and sunscreen and call or email Rolf and Andreas this very minute. The greeting, the decor touches of each bungalow, privacy, the restaurant, the view, cleanliness, free breakfast included ( amazing 3 courses) helpful staff, spotless grounds and infinity pool...we are wishing...

Our holiday was arranged so that our time here would coincide wit the arribada - the great turtle arrival. Unfortunately, no one told the turtles, and they were late. But Rolf arranged for us to go out with a guide on our last night, assuring us that it would still be worthwhile. And indeed it was, as we saw a...

We stayed here for a week at the beginning of February and loved every moment. The hotel is very nice the food is great. We stayed in the tropical bungalow and loved the outdoor shower. I can't say enough good things about hotel Luna azul. We flew into Liberia so you need a vehicle to get there and we rented...

Great welcome from Rolf and Andreas who are genial hosts at this small but delightful hotel. Roberto should also get special mention for his humour and good nature. Lovely lodging with a super comfortable bed and loads of hanging and shelf space too. Not the most efficient aircon but the two fans went some way to compensate. Lovely food too...

We stayed here last year and came back this year with three other couples. We stayed our last three nights in Costa Rica at Hotel Luna Azul and it was the perfect place to finish our 9-day trip. Owners/Innkeepers Rolf and Andreas greeted us like old friends and welcomed our guests as if they were family. The hospitality here is...

When we decided to return to Costa Rica again this year, we wanted to stay at some new locations but also wanted to spend a few days at the place that...

My husband and I went to Ostional to see the turtles and it was the most wonderful experience ever! We saw mother turtles laying eggs, baby turtles hatching, and on a boat tour we so many beautiful animals including a bunch of dolphins jumping up around our boat. It was an unforgettable memory! Luna Azul was the perfect place to...

This is the best place in the region. The owners and staff are outstanding people. We have enjoyed this place many times and my son, Bear (7), says this is the best restaurant in his world. We celebrated my mom's 80th and the staff brought a wonderful birthday desert and a world class dinner. Views upon views and perfect food.

We stayed two nights with friends who were there for the third time--repeat visits are easy to understand. there is something called the CR factor by friends who live in CR--it explains glitches in service, quality, mal -functions etc etc--a sort of "shrug-don't sweat it". The CR factor does NOT exist at Luna Azul. The attention to detail is perfect...

We were looking for a nice place for dinner and found it at Luna Azul. The menu was great and our dinner for all four in our party was fantastic. The owners and staff were great and very helpful. Would highly recommend this restaurant and wish we had planned to stay at one of their really cool rooms.
