We traveled with our family of 4, include 2 kids (ages 9 and 6), and had a really lovely time at Hotel Luza Azul. If you're traveling with young kids that like to behave like kids, this may not be the best spot as everyone is very quiet, and a level of silence is helpful to appreciate the animals that...

My husband, 2 year old daughter, mom and I stayed here for 3 nights in early April. The road to get here is a bit bumpy, but not problematic to drive. If anything it helps you feel like you really are getting away. We were greeted at the front gate by Andreas, Rolf and Fino (the owners and their dog)....

We spent couple of nights and the experience was fantastic. This is a incredible place; The service, food, facilities, amenities, rooms, personnel, hosts; everything is just great! Hosts welcoming you as if you were part of the family and do their best (and let me tell you they do it great!) to anticipate and fulfill your needs. Also a perfect...

We didn't want to leave Luna Azul when it was time for us to move on. Rolf and Andreas are the most gracious hosts we have ever met in our travels. Luna Azul is tucked away in a place that can only be described as paradise. The perfectly manicured gardens, incredible infinity pool, immaculate rooms and over the top service...

From the moment we arrived and received a warm reception from Rolf and Andreas we knew that making the decision to travel right out to Ostional was definitely the right one! There were doubts on the way as the Costa Rican road network is variable at best, but how glad we were we made the decision to come to Luna...

The hotel is lovely with a great pool and the restaurant is very good. But what makes this hotel so special is how welcome you are made and the level of service. Rolf arranged a great boat trip to see the turtles it was fun. We found the other guests were great company - the ambience was very inclusive. Cannot...

Staying at the Luna Azul is like staying with rich friends who have impeccable taste. It is extremely comfortable and has a good restaurant and nothing was too much trouble for the owners , Rolf and Andreas. Lovely setting in the hills above the Pacific.
