We stopped off for a coffee and snack in the outside area having been canoeing with Rockhopper Kayaking on the Caledonian Canal. The sun was shining and really warm for early April. The service was really good and the coffee and hot chocolates excellent. The views of the locks on Neptunes Staircase and the mountains behind were lovely.

I have never yet written a review whilst mid meal but having to wait so much felt the need! The Mooring has a lovely Bistro area which is obviously quite new but they haven't got a clue about service! It was so slow and unattentive 1/2hr to take a drinks order ! ... sorry pause main course finally arrived and...

Lovely hotel, clean modern room. Maggie at the reception desk made a good visit great by doing everything she could to make us happy. Very, very pleased with our stay and would definitely return. A mention for the lovely, friendly young man, Keir, who was behind the bar also. Excellent staff and service. Would highly recommend. Thanks Maggie! :)

We visited for a weekly day lunch. Location is lovely next to Neptune's staircase and the venue is clean if a little dated. Staff were lovely and helpful. Although the food was tasty it was over-priced for average portions, with coffee in particular expensive for small cups.

Had a lovely overnight stay in a superior room, which looked out onto Neptunes Ladder and down the canal from one window, and over to the Nevis Range from another.Sadly, it rained most of the time and was misty so we never got to see Ben Nevis! Our room was bright, spacious, very clean and comfortable, a nice big kingsize...

What a fantastic hotel, spotlessly clean, welcoming and friendly. First the location, the hotel location is brilliant. Right on Neptunes Staircase. Mountains in the background and a pleasant view from the front. Parking is ample outside and additional parking in a lower car park. We were welcomed and shown to our room, 33. Spacious with views on 2 sides. Fluffy...

Good room, very helpful staff. Excellent with the dog. Great bar staff and fairly good food. Limited menu though. Great views down the canal and across to Ben Nevis. The distillery is worth a visit. Not that much in fort William but Glencoe and the surrounding area are amazing.

Had a pleasant stay for one night at The Moorings hotel. Staff were friendly and the room was a decent size with a good view and decent facilities. Just a couple of pieces of feedback from our stay, we booked a double room and were provided with a twin room which was disappointing. In addition, you can hear noises above...

I personally feel the hotel does not offer good value for money. However the staff are helpful and rooms were satisfactory. Let down by the quality of the food. The bar is quite expensive. Ample free parking.
