This hotel is right on the staircase lock on the canal, with views to Ben Nevis. It is a beautiful location and the hotel is clean, comfortable and friendly. We enjoyed our two nights here, the only slight irritation was that there was no mention when we booked back in Oct/Nov that the cafe/bistro was the only place to eat...

What a lovely hotel. Relaxed and comfortable in an excellent location. The staff were friendly and helpful, giving a very personal experience. We ate in the Bistro, enjoying a tasty and reasonably priced evening meal. Breakfast was included - an adequate buffet, with hot, freshly cooked food to order. All in all a memorable stay - thank you!

My ineptitude with the TV remote was dealt with swiftly and with good humour and I was left to enjoy my mini suite overlooking the Caol Hills - those on the other side are treated to Ben Nevis! An aperitif before dinner was the...

Great hotel comfortable, clean with excellent service and good food. Our room (31) had fabulous view of Ben Nevis and Neptune's staircase. We really enjoyed our visit and are likely to repeat the trip in the future, hopefully for a longer time. Our thanks to the staff for being so helpful. Clive & Mary Parkinson

This hotel is next to the Caledonian Canal, by a stunning set of eight locks called Neptune's Staircase. I would think that Neptune would prefer deeper water, but whatever... Location-wise it isn't bad at all for getting out into the hills, being well outside Fort William. The hotel is a mixture of old and new: the more modern rooms are...

We stayed here for 1 night on our way home following a visit to the north coast. Great location, beautiful scenery. We booked a superior double room which had the most amazing view of the mountains and the canal. Room was modern, it was very clean. Great nights sleep. Plenty of parking. We arrived late so decided to eat in...
