Had a great stay at this hotel a few weeks ago. There are rooms downstairs, as well as on the upper levels, so wheelchair friendly. It also has a walk in shower with seat on the ground floor bedroom. Ooodles of parking right outside, and on a lower level. Fantastic views, and I particularly liked watching people waking their dogs...

The location on the banks of the Caledonian Canal was terrific, and gave us the courage to brave foul weather to go for a stroll round the area. The views were stunning, the hotel was warm and welcoming and the staff exceptiionally friendly, but the food at dinner wasn't great. Breakfast, however, was. I'll be back.

Booked a weekend break with the intention of getting away and chilling out. Great first impression - due to a slight change of plan, I called the hotel to advise that we would be arriving a bit later than anticipated and checking if food would still be available. The receptionist confirmed that food would still be being served and booked...

We've stayed over 4 days and it was lovely. Nice area for walking/hiking, all the staff can't do more to help and they're helpful with local info. The rooms are a nice size and food is of a nice standard as well. We will be back. Thanks :)

This hotel is next to the canal, away from the main road, plenty of parking and its very quiet. We had a room in the new part of the hotel, so it was very modern and well furnished, having only been built in July 2015. Room and bathroom were of decent size, with good facilities (tea/coffee, toiletries, shower and bath)....

Stayed here for 1 night as had to check out previous hotel as was of a poor standard. When we arrived here the bar area is stick in the past as is the breakfast room burteverything is clean and tidy. Also adds a bit of quirky character. We stayed in the new section of the hotel in a premium room...

Lovely views, very friendly staff. The food I had was delicious, but breakfast and evening meal. Good atmosphere in the bar and bistro area, felt very comfortable being on my own. Room was okay. Abit dated. I think they differ between rooms, as some photos look great. The bed/bedding was okay... But not the best. All in all, not a...

I can only comment on The Moorings as a training venue as I didn't stay or eat here. It was excellent, Philip was so helpful with all the set up and arrangements. He also made sure a room was ready for me in case I needed to stay...storm Henry was in full force outside! Thank you.
