First, this hotel and restaurant is NOT located in Cloridorme, but rather about 5 miles west in Pointe-à-la-Frégate. Their web site states that the restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner, but they were very willing to prepare lunch for our group with advance notice. The small restaurant is charming. The meal was excellent, with ample portions, all freshly prepared.... More

After traveling to the beautiful Gaspe region, we decided to make last minute plans to stay overnight near Cloridorme - but the hotel was just getting ready for the season in April and was not yet open when we called. We were kindly given a lovely room for the night, given directions, and since the restaurant was not open, advised... More

While touring the Gaspé by motorcycle in late October, I found that most campsites and hotels were already closed for the season and rain was starting. I was lucky to find this motel, especially since from the main road it's easy to miss it. I turned off, got a room in the otherwise empty motel (fairly decent room but very... More

We are five male cyclists that stayed only one evening at this motel. We all enjoyed both the facility and more so the meals served in their restaurant, we all said that we need to put this motel and dinning experience on the re-do list when we come through I the future with our wives. In conclusion, if you plan... More

Several years ago I stayed in Gaspe, which I found rather boring. So I choose something really different. This motel was basic, but clean and with a supurb view of the bay including boates and birds. We had a very happy evening and morning in this motel. During this trip we stayed in several pricier motels and hotels of the... More

It would have been nice to know in advance how far you are from restaurants and activities. Also, most places have hair dryers and your internet was NOT free, or even automatically accessible like other places. I don't expect I'd return, although the bathroom (even if it was small) and bed was mostly clean ( We found a hair on... More

Were on a trip around Gaspe, with bikes and car. Our stop for one night was in Cloridorme, at L'Etoile du Nord. We had a really wonderful time! Sylvie, one of the owners, is so kind and fun! We had Room 1, with a view of the water. The motel is right on the water, with a wonderful walk down... More

The motel L'Etoile du Nord is a basic motel on the north shore of Gaspe, right off the 132 road. The rooms are quite small and have a funny smell to them. The furniture and bathroom appliances are dated and worn out. There's no air conditioner in the room and the ceiling fan is quite loud. The room features a... More
