Spent 2 nights with 3 friends in this beautiful B & B cottage. John and Gillian are great hosts. Providing a warm welcome, huge amounts of local knowledge for walking and things to do and great local food for our self catering breakfast experience. The barn is set in a quiet location and just perfect for anyone wanting to get...

My family of 4 stayed for a long weekend at Stowfield Barn. Really great place - lots to do around - walking, biking etc - the forest is beautiful at this time of year. Superb hidden away B&B which is 5* in every sense. Friendly owners who meet and greet on arrival offering drinks. Stunning spacious room with loads of character. Just spent an amazing 4 nights at this lovely B&B in a wonderful part of the country. Our hosts John & Gillian have it 'just right' - beautiful well kept rooms, delicious breakfasts and lovely home made cream teas. Such a tranquil peaceful place. It's the only place to stay if visiting the area. Sue & Stuart

Jillian and John are so warm and welcoming they made us feel right at home. The property is five star and the breakfast included in the price was freshly made to order (John bakes fresh bread and Jillian makes homemade granola -delicious) all very filling. Highly recommend this place to stay. I hope to visit again soon.

We stayed one week in one of the cottages. It was our first trip to the England and the Forest of Dean and the cottage was beyond our expectations. Everything you need is provided and the beds are very comfortable. Perfect location for day trips in cities and nature. We had a warm welcome from John, Gillian and Tess (the...

This is a family home and not a hotel. We had three nights here for a family wedding and were treated with kindness and generosity.. Lovely rooms in the barn and the youngsters occupied the two cottages. superb breakfasts cooked by our host and our host and hostess were the best and could not do enough for us, highly recommended.

Fantastic place. Lovely part of U.K. Really very good rooms and a lovely breakfast. The idea of afternoon tea and cake when we arrived back each day was a lovely touch. The place was very well appointed and we were made to feel very much at home. Thanks to John and Gillian for a memorable stay.

I was thinking of the song by Louis Armstrong "Wonderful world" because it matches so well with this B&B. John and Jillian are gorgeous, their house is magnificent and very clean, the breakfast is delicious and the beds are heavenly. They have even room for an additional sheep :-) We can recommend The Stowfield Barn to everyone who loves the...

I can't praise Stowfield Barn highly enough. Firstly, the area is just a really lovely part of the world - we were staying down there for a long weekend and going to a friend's wedding at nearby Clearwell Castle. Tastefully decorated throughout, really nice rooms in the barn - and fantastic cooked breakfasts with home made bread and other high...
