Have dined here several times with my wife. We've always found the service to be friendly and efficient, the food is great and the drinks (including wine) very good and reasonably priced. During the week, they also have a separate "beat the clock" menu between 6 and 7:30, meaning the time you order is the price you pay! It's a...

Previously have really enjoyed visits here, but whilst the food was OK, the service was a little bit hit-and-miss for food, and the barman was decidedly 'off'. Won't be rushing back when there is so much excellent competition in the Dales.

This is a totally reliable inn with exceptional real ale, excellent service despite always being very busy, and food which has never been less than excellent. The consistency may well be unique. We have never been able to fault this pub. It has the advantage of being in an attractive village with many other villages within range which are worthy...

Like all the best country pubs you may have to make a bit of a detour to get to this inn but it will be worth it. It is set in a beautiful Yorkshire village with Linton Beck and its three old bridges just in front. It would make a great start and finish point to a good country walk....

We ate here for Christmas lunch, and the food was excellent, hard to fault in any way if I could've given 10 stars I would have, the service was quick, there was roaring fire, and overall place looked very inviting on a cold foggy night. best meal we've eaten all year :-)

We stayed for one night with breakfast and dinner. The inn is in a lovely position opposite a green going down to the river. The rooms are in a separate building to the inn - in what looks like a converted stone barn, looks lovely. The room was lovely (the loft) with a bath in the room (separate shower and...

We stayed, we dined and we walked. Maybe not in that order. So this is a bit bitty. We were shown to a very nice room and then wandered down to the bar. There's a good selection of safe regulars and some nice hand pump options. The arrival of the local rugby team (apparently they get a pound off a...
