Amazing place, the fusion of an old Castle with modern furniture, art and new Technology is great! We loved the place and of course it's great when you taste the best food there is and just have to make a few steps to fall in bed :-)

I spent my birthday at Schloss Schauenstein and was blown away by the perfection and attention to detail, for example: every staff member knew to congratulate me on the day and they made a special birthday cake for me! The hotel grounds are beautiful and lounging by the small pool was the perfect summer escape. We stayed in the "Kastanien...

The hotel is located in the smallest town of Switzerland with a lot of heritage and history, nestled close to Thusis - only a few rooms and very special with a small park, including a pool - outstanding rooms with a great mix of old castle modernized experience.

The hotel is located in a tiny "city" of 300 souls, about 90 minutes SE of Zurich. The castle is 500 years old but has been renovated inside -- the rooms are actually quite modern, with all the amenities one would expect. Other than the lovely countryside and the quaint appearance, the outstanding features are the restaurant -- more about...

I did write one speparat for the Restaurant. Here it is only about the room, suite Luft. Very spacious with a fantastic view. IT is the top room in the tower and on split levels. The entrance is the bathroom with a seating area. Stairs get you to the bed-/living room, one spacious room with a kingsize bed and a...

This is truly an outstanding boutique hotel in a unique house (a small castle) with a beautiful garden and a relaxing terrace overlooking it all. All rooms are looking different and are individually equipped and furnished. We stayed at one of the suites, this one called “Luft” – a room giving you a wow! We had plenty of space for...

We waited for six months to get a booking at this small Swiss hotel. The star attraction of course is the restaurant which doesn't disappoint. Every morsel served was crafted like a beautiful piece of art. The combinations and flavours were sensational and the creativity displayed in presenting each dish was amazing! It's an expensive night out - but it's...

We were for the third time at scholl Schauenstein and it confirmed to be the best restaurant of the world. For the first time we had the chance to stay overnight an it was fabulous! During the afternoon we enjoyed the splendid garden, quiet and comfortable. The rooms are beautiful and they take care of all details; only a bit...

Staying and dining here is a wonderful and very special experience. If you get the opportunity to go here, just do it - you will not be disappointed. Staff were delightful, especially Oliver, the sommelier/host. Andreas Caminada’s food is exciting and arouses all the senses. Highly recommended.
