6 of us shared 3 twin rooms on Saturday night, although we arrived in the afternoon. We regularly have these bike trip excursions and I can say on behalf of the group, this was BY FAR the nicest accommodation we have stayed in on one of our bike trips. Lovely rooms and decor, great hot shower (our room had a...

We were doing the Hadrian's wall coast to coast walk. After another long day we had arrived to a nice village of Humshaugh. The B&B is amazingly clean, well decorated and well ran. At £80 a night this is great value.

Stayed here with friends on our Hadrians Wall trek. Lovely barn conversion with superb bedrooms and great country view, albeit from low windows. I have read the previous couple of reviews and this did not match our experience at all. We had a warm welcome from the pleasant lady in charge, and a great breakfast and the attention to detail...

The hosts did not seem interested in their guests. At first glance the accommodation looks modern and fashionable, but on closer inspection, our room would have benefitted from vacuuming and the bath had scummy residue from the previous occupant! Basic breakfast and the worst beds I have slept in for a very long while. Would not recommend booking here!

So many wonderful guest houses on our walking holiday but this is not one of them. Owner was not there when we arrived exhausted at 3.30; turned up at 4pm, no apology but asked had we been waiting long. Nice house but lacking atmosphere, Awful beds and pillows, dirty carpet and bath. No customer care and meagre breakfast.

Would not wish to stay here again ever and could not recommend it at all. Arrived at 6pm to an inhospitable welcome, with minimal facilities (eg: one tea bag between 2!), no care or attention and no information or wifi code provided. Had the oldest and most uncomfortable and ancient single beds we have ever come across. The building was...

We were fortunate in having the larger twin room, with a lovely big bath, as well as a separate shower. Nice surroundings. The breakfast was a little limited, and only one time option was offered, although neither was problematic for me. Tucked down a little lane - you might need to ask someone to find it.

Convenient location and lovely place to look at but not the most friendly host. We were not met by the owner and had to carry our own cases to our room. Breakfast was only available at one time and there was limited choice.

On arrival we were told we were not in the diary. After a bit of a fuss and having to prove I'd paid ,eventually shown to our room. Lovely ensuite bedroom. Had a very good meal in the pub down the road Breakfast was at 8 no choice of time. We were asked to be out of our rooms by...

We were muddy, wet and tired when we arrived, but our spirits were lifted when we saw this lovely converted barn. The stylish and comfortable interior gave us sense of luxury on our country walk, and after a nice breakfast prepared and served by our friendly hosts we were well rested and ready to set off in dry(!) shoes. Highly...
