We arrived late in the evening on bank holiday weekend, although they were fully booked, they spent some time on the phone trying to get us in any of the nearby establisments - above and beyond !! We spend a laughter -filled evening in the bar, such lovely people!

Called in to have a spot of supper ....the place has definitely seen better times as in what we have all come to expect....but how refreshing to have a barman who was interesting and so engaging with his public...perfectly delicious bar meal...lovely beer, sun setting on a wonderfully hot day over looking devils bridge......true faded elegance and heaps of character.....

I felt compelled to write a review of this hotel, to add some balance to some of the other reviews on tripadvisor. We are a family of 4 and booked at fairly short notice for Easter weekend and paid £260 in total for the 4 of us for 2 nights, including breakfast. We booked a family room, and as our...

Amazing location, and lovely hotel... Just in need of refurbishment, updating and heating in the bedroom. Wifi was also a bit hit and miss. Good breakfast with a wide selection/choice. Helpful and professional staff.

A family visit to an amazing location marred by a stay in Hafod Hotel. The whole place in in need of a clean, the Hotels rooms are without heat, the bathroom is mouldy. The restaurant meal was one of the worst I have ever had. Pizza served without tomato sauce and a undercooked burger without any relish or salad, all...

Car broke down on the way to Devil's Bridge, so I rang the hotel in advance to let them know we'd be late. They not only arranged for someone to meet us and deal with the car to be left with a local mechanic, they also had food waiting for our late arrival at around 11:30pm (after the chef had...

Only two things I can moan about the first is my pet hate of foam pillows, can never get comfortable with them and the second was I couldn't get the shower balance correct, firstly it was hot enough to skin a cow then with a miniscule turn of the cold tap cold enough to freeze the bits off a brass...

I've stopped here a number of times now whilst passing through the Elan Valley to Aberystwyth. I had a carvery one Sunday and it was really nice, plenty of food, well cooked and a reasonable price. They also put some veggie gravy on for me. I stopped by yesterday just for a drink but had a slice of Bara Brith...

This hotel was featured in an episode of "Hinterland" and overlooks the beautiful Devils Bridge. Following a lovely long walk we arrived at the hotel for the carvery . To be honest the decor and overall appearance of the building is dated and somewhat neglected but that's all part of its old fashioned charm. The food was really delicious with...

This is a hotel where we felt we could totally relax. The Hafod is an old country hotel with a unique charm about it. A refreshing change from the stuffy approach found in so many of the characterless chain type hotels these days. The food was great, the staff and locals were extremely friendly and for anyone with dogs this...
