We always look forward to staying at The Harp as part of our Free Rein riding holiday. The warm welcome, the wonderful views, comfortable rooms and great food make it a great destination. Much of the food is locally sourced, it is well prepared and delicious, even the natural yoghurt at breakfast seems to be more creamy here! I've never...

Having been recommended to the Harp it was very disappointing to receive very poor quality food and service. Their was a very edgy atmosphere from the staff on arrival, which was no doubt due to them knowing they had a problem in the kitchen. The beef advertised as sirloin was so full of grizzle I had to request a steak...

A real treasure of a pub in beautiful countryside with views across rolling countryside. Inside is very traditional with hops hanging from the beams. The food was amazing and has one Michelin star. I had rump steak and triple cooked chips with tomato and field mushroom at £15 (8oz) but there was also a 10oz option at £18. The steak...

Would definitely recommend. Lovely pub in a beautiful setting. Has a garden with amazing views. Good home cooked food - vegetarians catered for. Good service too. Definitely worth a visit. In our opinion, the best pub around

Very much enjoyed our stay, thank you. Top quality small venue with bags of old world charm. Fabulous place to be on a sunny evening. Good food (the steaks were excellent) friendly hosts and good service. Couldn't ask for more. The actual location is wonderful, very quiet, great views, plenty of overnight parking (for the 5 rooms). Recommended.

Sometimes you come across somewhere that you are reluctant to share, so that they will have space for you next time you visit, but that would be unfair to the hosts. An open fire, good beer, fabulous food and dog friendly to boot. We all had something different to eat and none of us were disappointed - it was all...

Have eaten here 3 times in the past two months, and each time have had a warm welcome and great service. All 4 of us have eaten the steaks (very tasty) with the peppercorn sauce (probably the best we've eaten - and with a hot kick too!). Great puddings as well. Good to see the place doing so well (very...

A great old longhouse which has not lost its character. Great welcome by the owners, friendly locals and great beer, food and service. Comfy stay, lacking any hanging space in room with only hangers on back of door. A great find and will certainly revisit hopefully when the weather is better to enjoy the views.

This beautifully situated pub is near-perfect mainly because the landlord has the right attitude. The food is outstanding, the accommodation is spacious, quiet and comfortable, with a powerful shower. The beers are excellent. It is good to find a proper pub frequented by locals in midwinter, too. Top marks also for breakfast: butter not in wrappers, marmalade not in dire...
