After a last minute decision to travel to Truro I rang the Donnington Guest house on the day for a one night stay. They very kindly offered me room 3. Upstairs at the front. I was met by a very friendly member of staff who was very knowledgeable on the surrounding area. The room is a twin room and beds...

Once again, a lovely stay at this wonderful b&b. The team there are VERY welcoming and the rooms are warm and cosy. The bathrooms are clean, the shower is effective and with all the usual accessories, tea, coffee etc it's a great place to stay. The breakfasts are hot and fresh. The car park is ample unless you get some...

Long drive down from Bristol to visit my daughter at Falmouth University. Called and left a message with The Donnington Guesthouse at around 8.30pm, left a message asking if there was a room and if they would please call me back. Fortunately they did call back, within half an hour and said they had a room, I pulled up into...

2nd visit to The Donnington Guesthouse. Located about 10 minutes walk from the station, and 15/20 minutes to the town center. We received a warm and friendly welcome before being shown to our room. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. It had tea making facilities, a TV, a hair dryer, fridge and a microwave. The bed was comfortable and...

This is about a 10 min walk from the railway station and about the same from the centre of town. We had a room on the top floor with a wonderful view of the cathedral. It was also extremely quiet and so we both had a great sleep, helped by very comfortable beds. The room was very pleasant, and even...

The pros - very welcoming staff, good breakfast but for us there were three big cons in room 15 which is a family room: - the shower is poor. The pressure and the fact that it runs hot and cold made showering difficult to the point that it slightly scalded one of my groups wrists. - on arrival, the room...

The stay at this guest house was pleasant the staff where excellent, they all where very helpful polite and courteous. The only one small downfall was that the shower went hot and cold constantly, but all in all I would have no problem in recommending this guest house.

Stayed one night in room 5, single room - top of the house. Room was clean and the electric shower was excellent: good power wash indeed. The room had a fridge and heater if needed, the TV on the wall was handy and maneuverable. The only thing was the wind hissing through the pull-up window making the room drafty, as...

Overall my stay was good. Early check in. Very welcoming. I had two problems. Room being too hot as you wasn't able to open the window and the shower runs out hot/cold water and not the constant hot water as I would of wanted. This can hopefully get resolved. Room 9.

What a lovely find we had a year ago! This is our second visit and would keep on coming. We will be booking room 1 again for our next visit. The room is massive and the bath is HUGE! The hotel is a great location - Truro, Penzance, Falmouth, Bodmin, Padstow and Mevagissy! Wonderful spacious rooms with a great breakfast....
