We were greeted by an unfriendly desk clerk and required to lug our own bags to our 2nd floor apartment around the corner. The apartment was very spacious, and reasonably well-equipped but the plastic cups in the bathroom were off-putting and added to the feeling of a motel. The hotel is well-located but there was little to do on a...

I occasionally stay in Truro as I'm from the Isles of Scilly and will come over for a few days at a time or stay here on my way up to see family in the Midlands. I've had a variety of rooms, I've stayed in a small double, a larger double and a suite (which I was upgraded to for...

Where do I start? On arrival we were greeted with a big smile, our room was a 1st floor apartment and how fantastic it was too. We had a large group of family for a meal in the restaurant as it was my wife's birthday, please try the restaurant, I work in banking and have eaten in some of the...

Arrived on a wet Monday afternoon visiting family in Truro. This hotel is perfectly positioned in the centre of Truro with the added bonus of on site parking. Were a little apprehensive as we had been warned that some rooms could be noisy due to the central location but was given room 37-glad we are fit as it involved several...

We were only staying in Truro for 3 nights and needed a place that was fairly central, had access to restaurant(s), had parking facilities and was easy to get to and out from. On arrival we found that the car park was gate controlled and located at the end of a 2 way traffic system and that the hotel proper...

This is a wonderful small hotel. Perfectly located in the middle of the most interesting part of Truro. The rooms are beautifully set out and furnished with the most wonderful of bathrooms. I hadn't been to Mannings for a while and had remember the food being great so decided to pop in for lunch. It was very quiet with only a few other tables eating. Service was nice. Food was disappointing. My starter was not pleasant. I did complain and the waitress very kindly deducted it from the bill. My main course...

We extended our stay in Cornwall by staying an extra night at Mannings hotel. We weren't disappointed. We were impressed by the professionalism of ALL the staff. They treated us courteously and were a real pleasure. We stayed in the restaurant for dinner and again we weren't disappointed the food was delicious and they didn't skimp on the portions. We...

Spent three nights here while touring in Cornwall: the city-centre location is very good for shopping and sightseeing - the city has changed a lot, and for the better - and the on-site, secure parking is a big plus and reasonably priced. The old hotel has been well-updated and has a 'modern' air: the staff are helpful, informal and efficient....
