I went with a walking group of about 12 people. Service was prompt - slight delay in between delivering meals to individuals but to be expected with a large group. All the food was well received with no complaints. Well cooked, good portions, reasonably priced.

We have recently got a dog and Paul has made it a very dog friendly place, you are allowed to take your dog into the bar area and eat. Always a biscuit and drink of water for your dog, there...

As good as it gets for the money (£70 twin B&B). Shower had no pressure at all and it is a stand alone Inn in the middle of farmland but as I reiterate, for the money it was adequate for a one night stay.

However our room was light, large and airy.It was well stocked with tea, coffee, an abundance of milks and bottled water. When we went down for our meal our table was set and the...

Having visited this establishment several times in the past we recently dropped in for lunch for the first time. The pub was quiet with only a few other customers present. Having ordered drinks we chose from the lunch time menu which is good value and contains a varied choice. Meals arrived promptly and were nicely presented and very tasty. The...

This was a great stop for us on our way to the New Forest. Good food and drink options with a perfect spot for kids to play outside. Diverse menu with flatbread, burgers, salads, and even burritos. Will definitely be going back if we are anywhere near the area.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The new management team took over the running of this beautiful Inn on the 14th October with the intention of turning it back to it's former glory.Built in the eighteenth Century and surrounded by the beautiful forests and woods of Wimborne, the Horton Inn is the chance to take a step back in history and revel in the majestic traditional English surroundings. The inn is described as 'the rendezvous of many a daring poacher for operations in the adjoining forest' by Thomas Hardy, and we have an open fire and cosy bar with excellent quality pub food. If you’re too tired to travel on then you can make the most of our great hotel accommodation with several en-suite rooms, making the Horton Inn perfect for that well deserved rest. ... more   less
