First time to west Maui. The Ritz property was stunning. Beautiful golf course. Laid at the pool most of the week while my husband was in a tax training and I’ll definitely be back! Used the gym everyday - clean & perfectly maintained.
I stayed in the resort during the hurricane scare in late August, and the resort did a fantastic job keeping us informed and entertained. A special shout out to Shelly at the Concierge who went above and beyond to make our trip special - we...More
Don’t get me a wrong. A stay at “The Ritz” is nice, but over rated. Beautiful hotel, but not right on the beach. It is situated back behind a sacred burial ground, which they knew about and chose to build any way. Reported to be...More

Excellent service at this luxurious, resort in West Maui. Large hotel, but feels very private and was fairly quiet. Rooms are great. It’s long walk to the beach, but RC provides a regular shuttle to the beach.

You can see sunrise over the tall trees and mountains. In the morning the resort grounds are covered with native flowers.

A good rule of thumb in Hawaii is the eastern side of each island will get more rain than the western side.

Kapalua being in north West Maui, due to prevailing weather patterns, is more open to rain the further south. We have not spent much time up there in the winter months but if it is rainy, I suggest you take trip down the coast toward Kaanapali or Lahaina where you will certainly find less rain. I have been told the weather system tends to come down the upper coast to Kana and then flips across to Molokai. Hope you have a good time. Aloha!
