I recently had the unexpected pleasure of staying at Cloverlawn guesthouse , Kilrane , having booked directly on their number - 00353(0)539133413. The experience was positive on all fronts - from the warm welcome to the concerned friendly departure. The property is an obvious family home, that has been carefully and well thought out for its purpose - spacious lounge...

Stayed here for one night en route to the ferry which is a 3 minute drive away.We were greeted by the friendly owner and offered tea and biscuits which we took in the sitting room. The room was clean and comfortable with tea making facilities. We had a good nights sleep and enjoyed a hearty breakfast the following morning. We would normally...

I stayed here for one night at the end of May, as part of a motorcycle tour of Ireland. Upon arrival, I received a very warm greeting from Carmel and once I had got my bags into my room, a pot of tea and homemade rhubarb pie were waiting in the lounge. I had a single, standard room that was...

I think the owners must have been away. We were shown to our room and handed the key and the gentleman was noted as leaving the building soon after. We were not told about any other facilities. No warm welcome, no comfortable lounge to sit in etc. Perhaps this colours my review. The room was average size with a very...

Hi I'm glad early breakfast in time for the ferry met your needs. I was away for an overnight break and I regret you did not receive our usual warm welcome. However, the lounge is open at all times for guest comforts and there are tea making facilities in the room. Thank you for noting the bathroom inconveniences, we could...

Only a few minutes drive from the port, you can't miss it if you head out on the main road it's just down the road between the pubs. Friendly, warm and clean, there was a fire going in the lounge. Breakfast was great and I slept like a log.

The breakfast is excellent and the owners are nice. However, the room was small, and the light over the bathroom sink did not work. There are no shelves in the bathroom, which makes it hard to handle your toilet items. The house is old with creaky floors, so we heard people walking to the bathroom down the hall at all...

Glad you enjoyed your hearty breakfast, I'm disappointed you didn't tell us about the light we could have changed it for you. Our home is just 30 years old and quite modern with ensuite rooms I'm sorry you felt disturbed by some noise but the night you stayed there was a family with a small child who was unwell during...

A very quiet and pleasnantly located Bed and Breakfast minutes from the ferry terminal at Rosslare. The owners could not have been more welcoming or helpful, coming in early to provide breakfasts for those of us leaving on the morning ferry. 2 pubs a couple of yards from the house provide meals which are good value. the room and in...

Setting off for the early morning ferry back to Pembroke the next day this was a very good stop off point for us. Paddy was helpful when we couldn't locate the place & made us very welcome with a freshly brewed coffee & home-made scones with berry jam (delicious) & good humour. We took his advice about where to eat...
