My wife and I booked two nights at the Woolly Sheep recently. Due to our limited mobility (both 76 years) we always look for : car parking, restaurant and either lift or ground floor rooms. If we can't satisfy all three - we don't book. Due to a misunderstanding we arrived at the Woolly Sheep to discover to,our disappointment that...

Good central location in this pretty Dales town. A very comfortable room with great food in the restaurant. The open fire in the bar was most welcome and very warming on a wet evening. All the staff were helpful and friendly. I will be back!

Slowly being dragged down further as it continues to be managed Food is average and and service variable. Shame that they are a Timothy Taylor water hole flag ship... Seems very complacent rather that pro active. Please clean the tables and empty the ashtrays more often out side, I've seen better M1 services on a weekend kept tidier Capt Medley...

We booked for 19 people for Mother's Day meal. We asked for separate bills. The bill came as 1 with extras in that were not ordered as some starters which we were told were rounded up to nearest prices. ???? Food was excellent but we found some staff rude and unhelpful as we had to work out everyone's bill

Stayed one night prior to an appointment nearby. The hotel has private parking which you need a token for. Pull up and go into the bar for this. We were allocated room 7 a twin the room was cosy and very clean however if like me you are a light sleeper you will suffer. The traffic is constant on the...

We arrived on Thursday to have some helpful staff let us into the car park as they were leaving (entrance next to Specsavers). Lovely cozy but very clean and comfortable top floor room which was also very quiet. Excellent food on the Thursday night with wonderful breakfasts every morning. A great atmosphere in the pub and courtyard outside. Would highly...

Staying in Skipton tonight so went out for a short walk and a drink. Went into this pub. It looked inviting from the outside and was very warm and welcoming on the inside. The front bar with the log fire was full so we went to the next bar. A nice pint, friendly staff and good atmosphere. Wish we had...

Dined there one night. The waitress service was not very good if you were not drinking bottles of wine you had to keep getting there attention for another drink. We were sat near the doors to outside and continually people kept walking through for cigs ect so it felt cold. They would be better off closing them doors and just...

myself and 2 friends booked a 2 night stay whilst enjoying a short break in skipton. The bar itself has a lovely atmosphere, the front snug area with open fire is great. We had our evening meal on the first night - service was good and the food was lovely - best steak and ale pie I have ever had...

Having had a very hectic day it was wonderful to arrive once again at the Woolly sheep and be greeted so warmly. Our room was upgraded at no extra cost, to one in the annex. Very nicely appointed and lovely and warm and very clean. The bed was very comfortable and the little extras like 2 free half pints of...
