Comfortable and clean room for one night with friendly staff. We thoroughly enjoyed an evening meal there and the continental breakfast was good and plentiful. It was in an ideal location for both Grassington and Skipton.

The best carvery ever (tasting, portions, quality, and value for money). Never had a bad meal here. Fast service and helpful staff. Plenty of choice for meat and vegetables. Great selection of local ales.

Had a meal here with my husband, to be honest we didn't expect too much as it appeared dated and a little worn around the edges. The staff were lovely and as it was quite late we decided to give it a go. The menu is varied and when the food arrived it was truly excellent as well as a...

Room 18 was small and smelt quite damp and only one socket available for charging iPad/iPhone etc so take a power extension. The bed was also past it's best but was able to sleep on it ok. Apart from these negatives the room was worth what we paid for it and the continental breakfast was really good, fresh coffee, toast,...

Overall, a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The plate in front of me was all but licked clean and I was left feeling full and content, a win win situation. Both main and dessert were delicious and the staff were very friendly. If a negative aspect had to be found, I would say that the atmosphere was a little flat compared to...

The quality of the food here was excellent. We chose fish dishes on both our visits and the baked cod in particular was absolutely delicious. Service was attentive and friendly and prices were quite reasonable. It is only a few minutes drive from the town and has good parking, outside seating and wonderful views. (Restaurant review only. Did not stay...

Popped in on the off chance to get Sunday lunch. The landlord went out of his way to find a table for 4. The food was EXCELLENT as was the service. We were so impressed that we returned during the week for a birthday celebration where again the food and drink were excellent. We eat out a lot - all...

I'm going with the standard praise sandwich, so let's start with a positive. My wife ordered the Checken Wensleydale and said that it was really tasty! However, I had to send back a pint of Taylor's Golden Best that was warm and slightly sour; a different beer from a different pump tasted better. The waiting staff who appeared to be...

I will not lower myself to respond to your personal attack on me as I can only apologise if you misunderstood me getting the dogs away from a very busy lunch time trade in a public area, they are highly strung and yes, like all dogs, they do need walking. However when you criticize two new members of staff, both...

We have visited this establishment on more than one occasion. Even been to a few parties. I have always found the food to be excellent and good value for money. The staff are always warm and hospitable. We've been lucky over the summer to sit outside with our dog and enjoy the beautiful view. It's a bit out of the...

It appears reviews of this pub combine those from people merely eating in the restaurant with those using the bed and breakfast facility. I arrived late afternoon and despite having booked 3 x nights online some time before, the better located rooms had apparently been allocated to people arriving earlier in the day. The room I was given (Room 20)...
