The Staff are super friendly and helpful and the food we had was good. Our stay a was joined by a very noisy group of fellow neighbours ( guys who looked liked builders working locally) - noisy in the corridors and late at night.A double room was small with an even smaller toilet and shower room…view from the window was a brick wall. My main gripe was ‘value for money’ was very poor. £100 per room per night was pricey… 2 of us staying 2 rooms for 2 nights + 1 evening dinner for 2 = in excess of £500. Location of hotel is central to the town with parking for 3 cars at the back

Went there for early Dinner 03/09/21,initially good impressions, nice lounge with large cumfy armchairs, ordered gammon steak with chips,my wife ordered a pork chop with a sweet sauce, broccoli and chips, chop covered in sauce which hid the approx 40% fat,the broccoli was more like soup,we informed the waiter and asked that chef be informed,no apology from chef and no token adjustment in the bill, two soft drinks,a bottle of mediocre house wine, two main courses,£51.00.certainly not a pleasurable experience

Standard room 1 was very small and stuffy. The window only opened so far into a brick well at the back. No breeze. Very clean. Tiny shower room well appointed. This hotel has no outside space anywhere. No evening meals. Breakfast very good staff lovely.

Was here for a small gathering for lunch, was a 3 course set menu. Food was fantastic, all freshly prepared, tasty and plentiful. Good understanding of a coeliac and he had plenty of choices. Staff were pleasant, professional , knowledgable and friendly, nothing was too much bother. The sitting areas were cheerful, clean and inviting. COVID restrictions all adhered to.
