We stayed for 3 nights recently. The hotel is functional with good car parking facilities and efficient service at both breakfast and dinner. The food was fairly standard traditional fare and well cooked. Our room was good. spacious, well equipped and clean. Good for groups

Having read some of the reviews I really didn't know what to expect. The car-park was slightly off putting but then it's a town centre hotel so not likely to find beautifully laid out gardens! However, once inside I could see an attractive bar and a lovely lounge area. I was pleasantly surprised at the size of my room, and found it lovely and clean. The bathroom seemed modern and again of a decent size. I stay in a lot of hotels and normally wouldn't drink in hotel bars due to the prices they charge. However, £3.50 for a bacardi and coke, was good value, in comparison to o other hotels I've stayed in recently. The breakfast was excellent and all the staff were lovely and friendly. I had a wonder into the town but with it being a Sunday, most of them were closed. I did find a few bars open and can recommend Sloppy Joes. It was about a 3 minute walk from the hotel. I would certainly have liked more time to explore and there looked to be some very quirky individual shops. Very much looking forward to returning next year.

Round Table, Probus and Inner Wheel branches all meet on these premises, is that because it is good? Plenty of free parking but make sure that you register your car. The issues arise from the need for at least a deep clean even better a total refurbishment. A Catch 22 situation because the current popularity probably will evaporate when overseas travel restrictions are lifted. The corridors are to a tricky layout. Bedroom No 130 was large with views of roofs. Good breakfast served by waitresses from a buffet layout The situation in Carmarthen is common to much of eh UK most of the hotels have closed. The few that are left are struggling.

We booked to stay for a proper 'getaway ' during these continuing strange circumstances. We felt safe at all times, very comfortable and well looked after. Our room was spacious and had been well prepared so they did not need to service it until we left....a good idea.
