Stayed here on Sunday past for a quick over nighter- it was half the price of the bigger hotel in the town and to be honest was a lot better than I was expecting!

the hotel is just off the main road so easy to find. Rooms are a great size and were clean and tidy. It’s above the bar which is a positive if your looking a place to drink before bed however it’s not overly noisy and the rooms have their own entrance so after check in you don’t need to go back to the bar unless like us you want to!

It’s directly facing a row of take aways (country fried chicken & a pizza place) that’s handy for an 11pm munch in the room

Breakfast was great too!

There was no hot water at 4pm for a shower but once I called downstairs they got it sorted right away!

We were thrilled with the stay & will most likely stay again!

Outstanding accommodation with exceptional levels of service. My wife and 2 grandchildren stayed in The Belfast House with me in a large, spotlessly clean and very comfortable family room. We enjoyed really comfortable beds, a very well equipped en suite shower room and lovely bed linens and towels. The home cooked breakfast was superb in quality of ingredients and presentation. It was made from fresh ingredients each morning by the proprietor JJ who was friendly, professional and made us so welcome. We will come back in the near future and most highly recommend this establishment which also features a delightful pub. Thank you to JJ and his colleagues.

So what can I say!!! I have stayed at The Belfast House three times now and I am going again in December 2022. I find The Belfast House is perfect for what I need for a one or two night stay. The rooms are always in pristine condition and the beds are very comfortable. Although it is only bed and breakfast, you will not be disappointed with your breakfast, it is superb! Nothing is too much trouble for the staff if you need assistance with anything. I did not realise until last year, what a great town Cookstown is for shopping. This is now a thing for me to stay in Cooksown every couple of months and no better place to stay than The Belfast House, I just love staying there!!!

Second time staying. Really clean comfortable rooms. Very well cared for. My only suggestion would be to add a mirror into the actual room (,room1) bathroom mirror is great but one in the the room would be helpful for doing hair. The breakfast is amazing. Good hearty food cooked perfectly. The lady that does the breakfasts is lovely and super friendly. When we are down again in Cookstown we will most definitely stay here again.

Booked this bar a wee weekend away. I stayed in room 4 which looked onto the street. The room was clean and comfortable and met all your needs. The staff were friendly and helpful. There was entertainment in the bar on Saturday night which was very enjoyable. The breakfast was very tasty and set you up for day. I thoroughly enjoyed my weekend and would recommend this bar if you are staying in Cookstown. I will stay here again.

We had a 2 bed apartment (no5) very well equipped. Comfy beds, powerful shower& a laundry room with washing machine & dryer.
We were on the 2nd floor so had to climb a couple flight of stairs as there is no lift.
Only complaint/ downside & it is only minor was that the table& stalls were far too high, they were like something you would find in a bar, they did need to be much more like a kitchen table & chairs.
It was very clean, I will / would stay again & definitely recommend.

This place was ideal for me and my wife and good location for travelling anywhere. The room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast and service was top draw and very accommodating for anything. The bar was always getting cleaned and served a lovely beer. The only little thing is maybe the parking outside can be a little difficult during the day but is a free car park a short walk away. Be definitely coming back and staying here again.

Stayed at the Belfast House for 4 nights the room was spacious and extremely comfortable. The location is ideal in central Cookstown and within walking distant of all the bars, shops and restaurants etc. The staff were really friendly especially Sarah (Sally) who cooks the best breakfast you will ever experience and is so friendly you are sure to get on like old friends the first time you meet. The next time we visit Ireland we will definately stay at the Belfast House.

car parking
Answer from Jonathan B

No hotel parking, free public parking within walking distance, no security, street parking outside the hotel was possible if you can get a space, and was free and not timed as there had been an issue regarding yellow lines and charges when we were there so all parking was free, not sure if that is still the case.
