Stayed here on several occasions over semerald years. Good value for money, spacious rooms, good breakfasts. There is a proper bar/pub at the rear of the hotel. Which is very lively, having live music on at the weekend. It doesn't impact on your sleep as the rooms are at the front of the hotel. Would recommend a room at the rear...

Thank you for your posting this very upbeat review, which is particularly gratifying as it comes from a regular guest of the Fir Trees Hotel. The comments on the music events are appreciated as we have indeed taken steps to reduce noise levels to the accommodation block. We also endeavour to place guests on arrival in the most appropriate sections...

Decided to try the fir trees for Sunday carvery.. Wat a disappointment!! Food was awful! They only had chicken goujons as hot starters , my husband and I went for the beef as our main and it was like rubber , we couldn't eat it .. Desert awful !! So messy and not very appealing, there wasn't even ice cream!...

What kind of hotel holds a disco on the same Thursday the GCSE results come out? Never any other Thursday's over the summer so you's can't say it was a weekly disco, glade to see the PSNI shut it down as it was full of 16 year olds, you would think the owner would know better and to keep that...

The reviewer makes some very serious but totally unfounded assertions. The Management of the Fir Trees Hotel are acutely aware of their social responsibility and work closely with various statutory bodies to combat the problem of underage drinking. Contrary to the reviewer's opening statement the Fir Trees Hotel did not ''hold a disco on the same Thursday the GCSE results...

I have eaten here many times and have always enjoyed the quality of the food and service. The atmosphere is that of old world pub meets modern cuisine and good service. Well wort a visit or drop in if passing.

Hello, I've eaten here twice recently, once for a family lunch (May) and once for Sunday carvery (August). Lunch - good selection of food, something for everyone and thought the prices were reasonable. However service was pretty poor. Sat down and given menus, waitress didn't have enough menus for the table as they were busy. Waitress then returned to the...

Was part of a birthday party recently, when leaving the birthday cake at reception the very unpleasant receptionist made no attempt to find out what table we were at until we had to point to which table we were sitting at! After ordering prosecco we were told to "work away ourselves" when it came to the table, the waitress was...

We stayed for the Foyle Cup which our son was playing in. The hotel was first class for the whole stay. The staff were amazing especially with the kids and made them very welcome. The evening meals were outstanding and very very cheap. Lots of discounts! We would definitely stay again. Thank you to everyone.

Excellent food ! and a real pick me up after Donegal lost to Tyrone in the Ulster Final in Clones. The staff were really friendly and provided a great meal in very efficient time. My Son had Duck with garlic potatoes and I had the monk fish . absolutely gorgeous. Thank You

Stayed for a week meeting family and seeing the sights. Really enjoyed the stay. Comfortable room, good shower and all kept spotlessly clean. A highlight was the food.
