Hi there and thank you for your review Happy to clarify, our bar closes to the public at at 11pm if there we are not running any entertainment, but as you point out the night porter provides a bar service to overnight guests anyway. In future you can save the return taxi fare by dining in the Hotel - we are operating new menus in both our bistro and restaurant and our new Head Chef's food is to a very high standard. We are always updating our facilities and have just replaced all our bedroom TVs with smart sets, meaning you can access your Netflix and other streaming accounts whilst you stay with us. Other updates are planned for the near future. Finally, we do have to be fairly strict with our breakfast service times on Sundays in particular as we use the breakfast room for lunch service and there is quite a bit of work in clearing, cleaning and resetting the room in a short time. I hope this didn't detract too much from the overall enjoyment of your stay and you will come back again in the future. Regards, Trevor

We visited the bistro for a change and as we had heard there was a new chef in town. We went for the 2 courses for £13. The choice was excellent and the delivery even better. Fresh food, big portions and reasonable service for a great price. Everything was great bar the

Richard, Thank you for your review and I take on board your comments regarding the table condiments. I'm delighted you enjoyed our 'main course, dessert plus drink' £13 tea-time special. Our new Head Chef's food is attracting some very positive feedback and we have some exciting plans in hand for developing our food offering further. Best wishes Trevor

Hello yhutton, Thank you for your lovely review and your feedback which we always like to hear. We have a good range of dining options at Magherabuoy and you have summarised them very well. Our edge-of-town location and private grounds are aspects of out Hotel many guests like, particularly the plentiful free parking. I also appreciate your loyal custom and hope you can return in the not-to-distant future. Regards, Trevor

Dear ilh69, Delighted you enjoyed your visit and found out a bit about the history of the 160-year-old Magherabuoy House. It has many stories to tell. The Causeway Coast is splendid at any time, but there is something particularly enjoyable about it on a crisp, bright winter's day. Must be the sea air. Thank you for your review and hopefully you can visit again in the spring, summer and autumn..! Kind regards, Trevor

Are dogs allowed in the bar area?
Probably guide dogs for blind people would be allowed, otherwise you would need to contact the Hotel direct to ask this question.

what do they have for Dnner
I was with a group that had a more restricted menu than the full list from the restaurant, but it was still a wide variety of choices. It's pretty standard fare (i.e. beef, chicken, seafood, some vegetarian options) for a mid-grade restaurant, but everyone in my group enjoyed the meals.
