My cousins have a reunion every year and as most live in England it is usually there. However this year they wanted to come across the Irish Sea to the home land. Having trawled the internet I found Hannas Close in the Mournes and what a gem it turned out to be. The cottages were perfect for the 13 of...

We love these cottages feels like you are staying in an authentic irish cottage ( plus lots of modern touches like central heating ) . Well placed for walking in the mournes . Very clean and a welcome pack of essentials included .

Just back from a lovely two nite stay kid free, we stayed in the barn a one bedroom cottage that sleeps three! It had everything that you needed with wifi which was an unexpected surprise and it was a warm and cosy cottage, it has stone floors which you would expect in a cottage of that age, for that reason...

We stayed in Peggy's Cottage, and the bunk room is not suitable for adults. I'd also be cautious if you have allergies to mold or mildew, as both were plentiful. From a historical perspective, these cottages are very interesting, but when it comes to a vacation stay, I prefer more amenities.

Self-catering cottages that are very nicely refurbished and well kitted out. Really lovely and a great base to explore the Mournes. Peggy's Cottage has a nice private garden. Lily was exceptionally helpful and accommodating. Will definitely stay again! Super for families or for a quiet get away.

This was a very magical place with the Mourne Mountains looming behind us and the Kilkeel River trickling right below our patio. We stayed in "the Stables" which was a one bedroom (upstairs) with shower and a very well equipped kitchen, living room with wood stove and bathroom downstairs. Myrtle was our host and was most pleasant company. As we...

We stayed in Johnny's Cottage. This was our first visit and we will definitely be back. The cottage was comfortable and cosy and had a terrific view down to the river with mountains as a backdrop. The sounds of Hanna's Close were birds singing and water running over the stones in the river - so peaceful. Having not been to...

My wife and I booked The Barn for three nights, finding it to be very comfortable in providing everything we needed. Grabbed a brilliant night's sleep after a tough day's hiking, and we were ready to go again the following day. Staff were friendly and helpful - think I could have had a "wee chat" for quite a while longer...
