I stayed at this hotel mid July and have been snowed under with work commitments, hence the late review! I travelled to Ireland from Dallas, Texas and the purpose of my vacation was to find out more about my Irish ancestry. For 3 nights I had the most wonderful experience at the Downshire Arms!! Everything was terrific, the receptionist that...

I went here with my mum and boyfriend, the food was so filling and really good. Plenty of choice for all. Only thing was the tables were dirty an the lady at the bar was a little grumpy. I also found it quiet strange that we had to go to reception to pay. However id be back for food again.

I mistakenly entered the wrong hotel name in a previous review and it was not the downshire arms that i actually ate in. I would like to apologise to the management and staff for the very negative review that was certainly not intended for the downshire arms. I have tried to delete the bad review but don,t seem to be...

I visit N. Ireland every year and always make a point of visiting the Downshire Arms Hotel, weather it be for a room, a drink or a meal. This visit was a 4 night stay, and as my wife is wheelchair bound we had room 11 the disabled room. This room is ideal for disabled people, everything has been thought...

The Downshire Arms Hotel is a truly wonderful place to stay, perfect at the end of a long road trip. After being pillion on the motorbike for hours, having departed the Giants Causeway at 11am, we arrived at Banbridge to take Photo No. 24 in the Irish Photo Rally 2014. Hot bath, warm room and clean sheets awaited, followed by a...

Good food and reasonably priced - must go for the steak. Good choice on the menu. Receptionist and all the staff were friendly. Although a good atmosphere in both the bar and resturant could do with a bit of decorating.
