Just returned from a week based in Dorset House. It was a brewery until the early C20th and, with much of the building being over 600 years old, it has been beautifully maintained. It's comfortable, very clean and well stocked with good quality furniture, linen, crockery, cutlery etc. It is in the middle of the remarkably pretty and quiet little... More

We stayed here for the weekend - a group of 18 girls and were not disappointed. The kitchen is a little on the small side for such large groups but is well equipped and everything is easy to find. The bedrooms are spotless, crisp white linen and very clean. Bathrooms are fresh and clean also. The living and dining areas... More

The kitchen is ridiculously small for a group of 18, plus basics like the (slimline) dishwasher didn't work. We told the owners about the issue and rather than an apology were bluntly told it was working before we took the rental (it can't have been). We were not aware that the owners shared the property garden and access points so... More

This is a beautiful house with plenty of space for large groups - there were 15 adults and several children in our group and there was plenty of bed space for us all (we did bring a couple of extra travel cots) The car park and dining room got a little cramped which perhaps wasn't a surprise with so many... Can't fault it - plenty of bathrooms; comfy, homely bedrooms; a fab outdoor area; well-stocked kitchen; games in the capacious lounge and a pretty part of town to show off to our American relatives! Plus good service: a forgotten DVD returned post-haste. Thank you Dorset House!

We stopped her for a surprise hen party. The house was amazing with all it's quirky cubby holes and different levels. There were 15 of us staying and there was plenty of room for us all. It is brilliantly located with 2 pubs only a min walk away and also lots of lovely quaint shops to look around. The kitchen... More

We stayed here (18 ladies) for my daughter's hen weekend just this weekend. The hosts are wonderfully friendly and helpful. We had extra beds in some rooms, lovely towels, beautiful rooms..the house dates back to the 15th Century I believe. We were blessed with lovely weather and really enjoyed the long garden, playing a mini olympics there. The house is... More

Stayed there last weekend for a reunion with my uni mates. The House was perfect with so many rooms with could have had more than the 10 people we had. As it was a boozy weekend we didn't make use of the large dining room but it seemed to have good kitchen facilities as well. Perfectly situated for the excellent... More

Having come back from a weekend away based in Alcester we were all pleasantly surprised at how beautiful and quirky this property was. Great for groups, plenty of comfy bedrooms and lots of bathrooms. Centrally located, parking for 7-10 cars, several small courtyard areas. Would happily go back to Alcester and would certainly go back to Dorset house to stay!

I can't really fault Dorset House. I booked the whole property, including the cottage, for a stag weekend. The house is full of character with plenty of spacious bedrooms and numerous bathrooms. We were also fortunate enough with the weather to enjoy the wonderful outside space at the back of the property. The owners were very friendly and helpful. They... More
