The hotel is charming - a lovely old main building and the deluxe room we had was spacious and very quiet, with patio doors leading out to a terrace/garden area. We had a large, comfortable bed and there was a sofa bed for our son to sleep on. The room had a huge bathroom with a wonderful deep bath and...

Beautiful. More than 5* guest services. Lovely room, food and relaxing beauty treatments (our beauty therapist was Sophie whom was very friendly, welcoming, professional and ensured we were relaxed! ). Can't fault a thing. Thank you for a lovely stay!

When booking we had asked for a quiet room as we were going to Longleat the next day and wanted a good night’s sleep. We were advised we’d be booked into a room across the courtyard as these were the quiet ones so we booked for two nights to give us chance to refresh and enjoy breakfast before driving home....

Room 24 was massive a large bathroom with two showers in a stand alone bath, toilet sink and seating. Bedroom also big and a lounge as well could not fault the room. Went for a walk in the grounds but could not find the forest. Spa was excellent with sauna and steam being hot, indoor pool was excellent and it...

Stayed on Business in a Classic Room. £170 for two nights. Initially attracted as it’s one of the few hotels in the area with a gym. On arrival the hotel is impressive. Peaceful surroundings. Checked in and shown to my room. My first impressions of the room (No.18) was good. Advertised as a small room, however it was plenty big...

Beautiful building, interior and grounds. Has been adapted for modern use pretty well, but long walk to conference rooms through a maze of corridors, up and down steps and levels, and past the kitchen doors and spa changing rooms was rather strange . Not disabled friendly, and only one ladies loo (that took an age to refill the cistern) for...

Really nice hotel and lovely staff. Visited for 2 days with my husband and had a lovely time. The staff were friendly and attentive, made us feel very welcome. Only had breakfast as had trips to bath planned so didn't have lunch or evening meal but the menu looked nice. The breakfast was lovely and very good quality ingredients. Recommend...

Lovely warm welcome. Lovely clean room and facilities. Great food and service. One complaint ... l was over charged by £250 which takes the shine off my stay. Not the first time I've been over charged either, in fact it's the 3rd time, so now l double check the bill everytime! I would recommend you do too. Overall a lovely...

A slightly above average meal with family. Couple of pointers, no real reception and were left waiting for a while. Waitress wasn't keen on bringing tap water and insisted it had to be bottled. There was a well priced deal on with the option of 2 and 3 courses. The only real stand out was the dessert. Starter of mackerel...
